Warren stood with one hand in his pocket. He had a faint smile on his face, and it made my skin crawl."Are you planning on taking these files to the police?" I tried to take a step forward, but someone yanked me back hard. After turning around, I saw that it was Nelson who grabbed me.Warren stood behind him, shockingly bearing a different expression for once. "Are you trying to kill yourself?""I foolishly offended Ms. Parker. Surely it's enough if I die to atone for my sins, right? Please spare my family, Mr. Parker."Before this day, I'd never imagined I'd one day be so pathetic that I wouldn't even dare to avenge myself—that I'd even sacrifice my life just to beg for forgiveness.But Warren declared, "You can die when I'm bored with you.
