Elise Pov "Drake?" I didn’t say it out loud. I didn’t need to. "The one and only," he replied smoothly through the bond. His voice was like silk over steel. “You really should stop trying to break something that's already a part of you, Elise. It's like trying to rip out your own spine." "Get out of my head!" I snarled. My hands flew to my temples like I could physically shove him out. "Can't do that, sweetheart. That's the beauty of this bond. We're connected now. Permanently." There was no apology in his tone. If anything, he sounded smug. Satisfied. "I don't care what you think this bond is," I snapped. "I'm getting out of it." Drake's mental laughter was dark and amused. It vibrated through the bond, through my skull. “You're adorable when you're stubborn. But seriously, Elise, stop. You'll only hurt yourself. And Keiran." Using her name. Using my wolf against me. Low, even for him. I gritted my teeth, fury burning through me. It was better than the fear. Better th

Elsie's Pov At first, I had expected one of the triplets but it was Mandy with her blue eyes darting frantically. I was a little relieved to see her, yet disappointment was gnawing silently inside me. I was already enjoying whatever Drake was about to do to me." Get out," Drake's voice boomed, no longer his usual playful tone. For once, since I arrived, I saw his murderous side. I was about to say something when the door suddenly banged shut again. Mandy was gone with the wind.So much for my relief!Drake's eyes softened, and he reached out, his hand gently cupping my cheek. His touch was warm and comforting, and I leaned into it, my eyes fluttering closed.I totally lost my control again, less than a second of being alone with him."Fuck, you're so beautiful," he murmured, his thumb brushing gently against my cheekbone. "I can't stand the thought of you hurting, you know."I opened my eyes, meeting his gaze. "I'm not hurt," I said, biting my lips. Drake's hand slid from my cheek

Damon PovI was tongue-tied, not by her fiercness but by my guilt. Every of her words cut deeper than every slice of the enemies dagger. I bite my lips harder. It was so hard that I could literally bit it off. I was speechless, even to reply her.The room suddenly became still, for a second or more, until Derek spoke up. The heaviness accompanied by Elise's words slowly dissipating. Derek shook his head slowly, a small smirk forming. “I didn’t think anyone could challenge you like this, brother. She’s got spirit. She totally crushed you, bro”When did Derek become so talkative?Drake laughed softly. “Or maybe she enjoys seeing you lose your temper. You’re so easy to provoke. For once, bro, be like me.”“I don’t lose control,” I said, jaw tight. “Not with anyone.”Elise stepped closer, fearless. “Control? That’s all you care about. Power, fear, rules. You don’t know strength. You don’t know what it’s like to face someone who refuses to bend.”“Face us?” Derek asked, voice low, almost

Derek’s POV" Princess Elise, quite unfortunate..."Uncle Fred, my father's beta, apologised to Elise for King's absence. For a second, I thought she was definitely going to bring down the roof. This mate of ours was fierce. " Got it," her surprisingly calm voice tore through the already tense air. The argument she had been having with Damon was already damn tense. With just those words, Elise turned around and left us in the throne room. Uncle Fred left immediately too, perhaps, wanting to avoid Damon’s outburst. The air still buzzed after Elise left. Her scent, sharp and electric, clung to the throne room like smoke after a fire, curling through every corner, weaving itself into the shadows, refusing to fade. Damon hadn’t moved from where she had sat down, his fists still clenched at his sides, the muscles in his jaw twitching with restrained intensity. The silence wasn’t calm—it was coiled, dangerous, as if the room itself were holding its breath, waiting for an explosion.Drak

Drake PovThe silence on his end got me even more irritated. I hated his loyalty to my father. In a way, Uncle Rael reminded me of Derek. That dark aura, as if they were shrouded in secrets, unrivalled. I scoffed at his silence." The King is afraid of her. Could it be he fears her revenge? After all, she is the daughter of the clan he brutally murdered."“The King fears nothing,” Rael said sharply, too quickly.I chuckled. “Then why does he keep her so close? Why lock her away instead of letting her run? Why does he insist we bond with her, even without her consent?”Rael’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t respond. Instead, he gave a curt bow. “The King expects all three of you at dawn. You’ll receive new orders. About the rogues.”I raised an eyebrow, smirking faintly. “Rogues, huh? Perfect excuse to distract us. Or is that just what we’re calling the problem now?”His expression didn’t change. “Be on time.”He turned and disappeared down the corridor, his cloak whispering against the
