~NYRA~ “Mate?” “Yes!” Nina exclaims. “He’s our mate, Nyra.” “No. He’s a human. He can’t—” My words cut short when the barrel of his gun slammed into my cheek. ~NYRA~ “Nyra! Nyra!” I woke to a sharp tug through the mind link. “Yes,” I answered groggily. “Wake up, Nyra.
