Tracking the omega would not be so hard if the girl was in the house with them somewhere. But not when she was not and was most likely somewhere in the town.Their pack and town was not the largest, but it was on the bigger side if it was going to be compared to the majority of the other ones. So finding Selena just by her scent was going to be harder than finding a needle in a haystack. But that was not going to stop the beta from trying. He felt like it was the Moon goddess who had sent the blonde girl. Because how would he have known about Malek’s hibernation? At the same time, this was going to be a great distraction for him, considering that he really wanted to go over at the police station; he was itching to do it. He wanted to know what was happening with the alpha, but he was already warned. And not just once. So he knew that he was on very thin ice. Sitting behind the steering wheel while Cassie sat next to him, he drove them out of the compound. He had no idea where he w

Selena sat there, feeling terrible about all of this. But she was just being honest. This was how she felt, she did not want to kill Malek. She knew that the beta and the blonde girl would not understand because they were not omegas. And she knew that if she were to even explain this to her mom, the woman would tell her to kill the guy all in the name of forgiveness. But honestly, the omega did not feel like that was the right thing to do. Killing anyone was not the right thing to do. “I’m so sorry,” She said, sniffling dryly as she stood up and left them there. She went to her room, trying to wrap her head around all of this. But she knew. She knew that they were right about one thing. They were right about it being their one chance at getting rid of Malek. And if there was another way that did not have to do with killing the guy, she would have agreed immediately. But she did not want to kill him. She did not think that he deserved that. Not after what the pack had done to him.

It was quiet for those few seconds as everyone stared at the police woman. What she had just said was enough to shake the room. It remained still for a few more long seconds before Leon finally broke the silence by chuckling without humor. “I knew it.” He stood on his feet. “I f*cking knew it!” He coffeed while shaking his head. Then he placed his hands on his waist and locked eyes with the woman. “I knew that it was a setup. The woman had been doing so well.” The woman cleared her throat before nodding. “Yes. It was.” She swallowed. “The crazy thing is that we could not get footage of what happened from the cameras installed in the facility. But then after a few days, we got mailed everything we needed. And it was sent from the same person who did it all.” “Who?” Cassie asked at the same time that the omega did as well. “It was Malek, the guy who the dark prophecy is about. We currently have an arrest warrant for him and will be going for him this evening. But I wanted to talk to

Selena stood there, not saying anything in response. Not because she had not heard the blonde girl, but because she just could not speak. She was still in her head, trying to process everything that was happening in the moment. It all just felt so surreal to her. Because what do you mean that the alpha was currently being held at a police station because of crimes he had committed? And the fact that his mother had been killed by a man that Selena was now supposed to kill in just a few minutes. That was not even all. The entire sky had been swallowed up in darkness, and the rivers in the town were red like blood. Elijah was also in the hospital and could literally die at any minute due to how bad his injuries were. Thinking about it all, she kind of felt like it was all her fault. Because if she had just stayed with Elijah and treated him better in the beginning, maybe none of this would have happened. You know that saying? The one about a butterfly flapping its wings in one place a

After drinking, there was no way that they could go back to the Royal Mansion because they were all intoxicated. And besides, it was already late too. So they just decided that they were going to spend the night at the creepy, luxurious mansion they were at. They decided that they were all going to just sleep in Cassie’s room. It was big enough. Leon offered to sleep on the carpeted floor while the girls would sleep in the bed. He did not mind; if anything, he felt good about it, that he was not going to be sleeping alone. After an hour more of just talking about random things, sleep stole everyone away. When morning came, the first person who woke up was Leon. He had a weird headache and felt a bit hungover, but he did not have time to deal with it. There were a lot more important matters to handle. For instance, trying to find another way to get rid of Malek, and also finding a way to get the alpha from being held at the police station. He sat up and yawned, soon standing to his
