“No,” Leon said the word as his heart dropped to his stomach. He could not believe what he had just seen. His brain was still trying to register it, trying to decide whether it was a hallucination or if it was real. He felt sick to his stomach, and it felt like time had frozen for a few seconds. It felt like he had been shoved out of time itself, and his soul was just…it was just there. Floating in nothingness. He had never felt this way in his life before. He did not even know what to name the feeling. The beta did not even try to fight back as Malek did what he was doing. He allowed the guy to pull him back, his eyes still trained on the body of the blonde girl. He did not resist; he just allowed whatever was happening to happen. He felt numb to the bone. His thoughts were racing, and his body went limp. But all that faded away when reality came crashing in so hard. It was like a slap in the face. It was like he had been hit by a moving train. He could physically feel the pain.

“Are you sure that you want to do this now?” Axiel asked Selena, and she nodded as she opened her side of the car. He was not going to let her go alone, but he also knew his place. He knew it was not his fight. He knew that it was the Moon goddess who had chosen the omega to do this. But he just wanted to make sure that she was going to be okay. “Leon could maybe just be sleeping.” “I don’t know,” She replied, getting into the car. She sat down, fastened her seatbelt, and waited for the guy to get in. Once in, she continued, “I just have a bad feeling. I feel like something is wrong. And the goddess knows that I have procrastinated way too long…to the point that so many have died. I can’t keep doing this.”Selena knew that it was not really her fault, but she could not help but blame herself for everything that was going on, for the people who had lost their lives. She could not help but blame herself for how bad things had gotten. If she had just done what she was supposed to do fro

They stared at each other for a few seconds before Malek finally broke the silence. “You’re playing with me, aren’t you?” He chuckled as he wiped at his mouth with his hand in a swift motion. “You’re just like them now. They have corrupted you. You will never be able to see things the way we do. The way omegas do.” “I’m literally an omega,” Selena replied in a dull tone. “Does it even matter to you anymore?” He raised his voice, frustration seeping through. “Your father is dead, so what? He was the same man who left your mother and denied that you were ever his until you became the white-haired Luna!” “Stop,” Selena said under her breath. But Malek was only getting started. “No, you need to hear it, Selena. You need to hear the truth and wake the f*ck up,” He continued. “He used you. He wanted to go down in history. Everyone knows that. He never loved you, dear.” “You don’t know that…” He laughed. “It’s f*cking obvious! Come on! They don’t care about you. They don’t care about u

Selena could say that she had never felt the way that she was feeling right now, but then that would be a lie. Almost all of her life, she had been a very indecisive person. And maybe that was because she was a perfectionist. Maybe it was because she always dreamed of her life to be a certain way, and then at a certain age, she had realized that because she was an omega, she might never get the dream. So she knew that for her to even be able to be happy with whatever life she would be handed, she would have to work extra hard. She would have to try to make everyone happy. She would have to be extraordinary. It would be a bloody lie if Selena said that she did not believe in the cause of Malek. All her life, she had been bullied. And if Elijah and Maddox had not entered her life, she would have been just like the other omegas. So yeah, maybe she was biased. Maybe she was not really taking in the gravity of it all because she had been lucky to run into men of high status who had tec

It was a new day, and Selena was getting ready for a run. She had woken up earlier than usual and felt like she just wanted to push herself physically. She was not the kind of person to do runs all the time, but she wanted to start. Especially after having a baby, she did not want to let her body go. She wanted to make sure that she was in shape. Maddox was s asleep in the bed next to her, and when she was done, she looked over at him and could not help but smile. Both of them had faced so much. They had lost so much, but here they were…still going. She was super proud of them. She walked over to him and planted a soft kiss on his head before leaving the room. She checked in on her child, and the girl was sleeping as well. Without waking any one of them, she left the Royal Mansion. She started by walking, keeping her eyes straight ahead. “Good morning, ma’am,” a guard greeted her with a warm smile. She smiled back. “Good morning.” She still could ot wrap her head around the fact
