One functioning arm

KYRA "To make the experience better," Eve started, "You are both going to take turns. Who's going to start first?""I will," Nicole answered, staring at her opponent with a smirk on her face.I have no doubt that she's going to smack her opponent's butt. Her confidence was practically oozing out of her, I wonder how and when she learnt how to fight because it sure has heck didn't happen during this training and she doesn't love Ian as much to curry favour from him.I wish I had a little bit of her confidence, one glance at my opponent who by the way was smiling at me, has me shaking inside, excusing my fake bravado. What the heck was I thinking in the first place. An omega doesn't fight. Our body wasn't built for it. However, those who manage to break free of their shackles have decades of training to be able to finally get what they want.I wasn't them.I just started learning recently, and each time, I've been losing. Not even Lea, my wolf can help me in this situation. After th

Nicole.

KYRA The Alpha charged towards Nicole, growling in anger and going for her injured arm.Nicole laughed as she easily sidestepped him and kicked him the the knees, causing him to fall to a knee, lucky for him,he stood up quickly before she could deliver a definite blow to his neck."What are you?" The alpha snarled, circling her, rage evident in his eyes. "Lunas in training aren't supposed to be this good. How are you still able to do fight even after everything and the pain I can't imagine you're in.""You don't know anything about me, so you can't say." Nicole smirked, "now, quit talking and do something fighting. Your small ralk is not going to distract from the fight or give you an advantage, so get the illusion out if your head."He gritted his teeth so hard that I thought it was going to fall off."You're welcome just nothing, a nobody with no family and only came here to gain the favour of the Alpha king and other Alphas."Nicole's eyes hardened as she glared at him, "I think I

A condition

KYRA "Scared already?" The Alpha taunted, his lips curled in amusement. "No," I murmured and curled my fists, letting Lea's power take over.I honestly felt better, but deep down, I knew I was no match for him.He came directly for me, hands fisted and swung at me.I easily deflected the swing but before I could recover, he kicked my calfs, forcing me to kneel.I looked around, Eve’s eyes gleamed in satisfaction as she watched me."Come on, you can't give it to me easy...." The Alpha jeered.I stood and got into another fighting stance, going for him instantly.I landed a blow and quite a few more, but at the end of the day, I was on the floor, facing the ceiling."One point to us then," the Alpha smiled, staring down at me."I guess" I murmured back, getting into a sitting position. It was hard.I'm sure I'd get a few bruises from this, or maybe Nicole would be calm enough to heal me."It's a draw, you get to leave, and you have the opportunity to ask for a favor." I told him, "So,

Tell me about it

KYRAI paced around my room, moving from one end to another."Why would you suggest that in the first place?" Nicole berated, glaring t me, "I wanted them out, not doing favours to them.""What do you think I should do?" I asked exasperatedly, sitting on the floor, the bed and sofa felt too far for me to reach."I don't know, but I'm sure trying to get Zyran—the Alpha King to apsign an alliance with a pack he doesn't fancy is a big no.""So you think I am better off with doing sexual favors for any of the two Alphas?""Zyran will punish you in ways you can never imagine. You're his plaything, his alone, giving yourself to other people is equivalent to death." Lea answered I wanted to argue and deny that I don't belong to him, but that was a lie, I'd just be deluding myself."I didn't say that." Nicole murmured, "Maybe we should go with each the option and I kill them or threaten them away."I shook my head, "That can't work. I'll still be bonded to the whole bet. I'm going to have to

Art

KYRASo I let myself sit and told him all about the bet, the fight, how Nicole won and I lost and how that Alpha made his favour."What's the name of the pack?" Zyran asked, staring at me with rapt attention."I'd have to ask, I don't know. I was to bothered trying to weigh my options than asking for his pack. So please can you help me out here, I don't want to do it, I mean give sexual favours to the Alphas.""Sure," Zyran said dismissively, "I'll sign the stupid alliance or whatever,""Really??"He shrugged, "Get his name and have me meet me in my office tomorrow morning.''I frowned, "but..."He tilted his head at me, "but what?""What's your condition?" I asked because I don't believe for a moment that he was doing this for nothing in return."Is that all?" He said instead, returning to the pile of papers in front of him, "I'm busy." "Uh.. yes," I muttered, my brows drawn up in confusion, what's going on? Is he really not going to ask for anything?? What's gotten into him??"Are

A pawn

KYRA The art–painting class went by in a blur. I barely did anything and my painting wasn't even decipherable.I think I drew an ant walking on the clouds or maybe it was a butterfly in the sky. I couldn't say, it didn't make sense.I need to win, that's all I thought about. What occupied my mind.If I won then no one would be able to challenge me because I'm also his mate.Goddess please help me just this once, let me win this, and be able to avenge my mother's death and also take care of my family. Please goddess, I'll do whatever you require of me, just let me get my heart desires, help me find Jacelet and help me become powerful."What?" Gianna whispered, "what are you looking at?"She followed my line of sight, "that girl? She's nothing to worry about. She's not the King's type and not a competition to Eve,""Why exactly are you here?" I fired back at Gianna, "Just go back to Eve and continue being invisible.""I was sent to keep an eye on you. What am I supposed to tell my empl

Find and protect

ZYRANI couldn't seem to concentrate on the pile of paperwork waiting for my approval.. My thoughts kept drifting to her.I found it even more surprising that I'd helped her with the threat of a measly Alpha. I could have killed him but things would get messy fur me and it'd place a target on her, both of which I was trying to prevent, that's why I formed an alliance with a pack whose name I don't even remember anymore and don't care about. A month should do.After a month. I'll call off the alliance.A knock on the door startled me. I watched as the door knob turned and Davis came to viewHe acknowledged me with a slight bow. More forehead creased slightly. "You shouldn't be here"He nodded once. "I know but there's something important you need to know"I rubbed the space between my brows. I could tell from the way his jaw is set, that whatever information he had is something that'll most certainly have me stressed"I'm all ears"He stepped closer to where I sat. "There's currentl

Good Luck

KYRAThe hall was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.It was as if everyone held their breath and were afraid to breath, even nonchalant Nicole seemed genuinely interested.Susan had one said if it was Eve, Nicole was the best person in terms of social status, influence and family.Would I have to one day fight against her for the position? Does she really really want the position."The Luna selection program was supposed to last a month, but due to some decisions, it was postponed indefinitely. Now. I'm glad to announce to you that the selection program will come to an end in less than a month. It was why we had the Alphas come in here because we understand that a lot of you left everything behind to be here. If you're lucky and you get chosen by another Alpha, you still get your position, what you trained for, –a Luna,"She paused, looking at everyone almost fondly. Her lips were not pulled in their usual scowl,"It's honestly been a journey here and I'm glad to be part of your jour

Dance

KYRA True to the Warden's words, there were 'noble' men waiting in the dancing room with us, along with a dance instructor.Nicole scrunched up her nose in disgust, I mean,we just barely got rid of one set of crazy men and now we have another?""It's just for a day," I tell her, "just dancing partners,""And before you know, they are also putting up names to take the left overs, "No one wants to be a left over, that's why the warden would have them go back to their hometown."Nicole scoffed, "I'm not dancing with any of these over privileged men. Would you like to be my dance partner instead?" I rolled my eyes, my words dying down in my throat as the whole hall went silent. None of the girls were chattering away like they were doing just a minute ago.I frowned, noticing the fear and admiration in their eyes as they focused behind us."Oh, Sweet. Another even more privileged man," Nicole murmured under her breath, and turned around with a glare.I turned around too, to also see who

Won't happen

KYRA A cold chill ran down my spine. He was joking right? He had to be joking. There was no way he'd have hurt all those who – oh my god.Who was I kidding. This was Zyran, the infamous Alpha King, there's no way he'd joke with that.I took a step back, away from him,— tried to.He held me in place, his hands gripping me tightly. "Don't," he muttered I didn't move, my body went into default mode, following his lead in his dance."You obviously have no regard for their life or maybe you thought I'd be too kind to overlook it? Whichever is the case, I don't really care,""You're insane." I mumbled, "you really are crazy just as they say.""If you care about the people you are with, then leave the Luna selection training.""No... That's impossible. I can't do that. This is what I came for, and I'm not leaving except I get eliminated which I'm doing my damnedest best to avoid by the way.""You're mine already, my plaything and not any of these ladies can take my attention off you.
