LOGINZyran Eryx, a name that rang terror through the hearers. The most powerful Alpha King to ever exist. Rumor had it that he was blessed by the moon goddess herself and the underworld king, Hades, brother to Zeus. No one knew how he came about or anything about his family, but they've heard of the terror he brought, the horror of what he did. He is otherwise known as the Cruel Alpha King. No one crossed his path and lived to tell the tale of it, not even their soon to be dead families. He's not one to be trifled with. The only one who lived to tell the story couldn't tell it. What can a crazy man say? It was wide knowledge that the king had no heart, and is a cruel unforgiving bastard and it so happened that he's my ex's brother. One more thing, I'm his mate.

"Happy Birthday, babe! Come over in the evening. I have a surprise for you!"
A grin split across my face.
Jake is my other half and deserves to know the truth. I owe him that much if we're going to be together for the rest of our lives.
Maybe today is the day he proposes!!
My cheeks ached with a smile as I typed out my response and dropped my phone on the dresser.
Today is a special day.
I took a deep breath and waited,
I still can't feel my wolf, but it doesn't matter. Probably when I meet Jake later today, it will finally acknowledge him, then we'd have our mating ceremony and live happily.
I'd be safe.
Jake would protect me, that I was sure of.
The only people who know about my true identity are my parents. Not even my siblings have an inkling.
What everyone knows is that I'm an Omega.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Silver-haired Omegas are super rare omega known to have gone extinct and rumored to make every Alpha king go to a rut and, in the end, bear the strongest heir.
Everyone wanted a Silver-haired omega, both Alphas and ordinary wolves, and would kill to get their hands on one.
A soft sigh escaped my lips as I stared at the mirror, my silver hair shimmering in the sunlight.
I wore my necklace, and instantly, my hair changed to red.
The necklace was supposed to help hide my scent and hair color, but for good measures, my parents usually made me rub a scent masking oil on my body before I left the house.
A smile played at my lips when I got to the kitchen and found a cake with a small note waiting for me.
It is my eighteenth birthday today, and my parents have been busy preparing for the Luna selection ceremony happening in the palace soon.
A tradition that follows two years after the Alpha King ascends the throne.
I took a bite from the cake and headed over to Jake's.
Why wait till evening when I can spend my entire day with him till my family gets home.
The pack was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was eager to talk about the Luna selection.
People were also waging bets on candidates that would survive the brutal selection.
A dark thought crossed my mind.
If my wolf still doesn't appear when I meet Jake, I don't know what I'd do then, but I can't leave him.
The sound of moans and slaps filled my ears as I walked closer to the slightly opened door.
I pushed it open, my heart thudding fast in my chest, my hands trembling.
Jake's bare ass was the first thing I noticed, followed by the girl's face on the kitchen table.
"Jake?" I called out, my voice filled with disbelief, "Isabelle?"
Both of them froze and turned to face me.
Isabelle pushed herself off Jake and leaned against the table, "It's about time you found out. It's been killing me hearing you talk about your boyfriend all the time."
"How dare you?" I screamed, directing my anger towards Jake, "Of all people, it had to be my best friend?!"
"Jake is my mate," Isabelle piped in.
My head went blank, and my jaw slacked in surprise.
"We both got our wolf a year ago, but I couldn’t tell you because you were so in love and Jake needed a toy, someone to play his mind games with," she shrugged, "you were the perfect candidate."
I took an unconscious step back in horror, "You could have told me." I whispered, blinking back my tears.
I'm not going to let them see me cry.
"And hurt little miss perfect?" Isabelles scoffed, "No way. Besides, my loyalty is to Jake, not you."
I turned to Jake, "Was everything a lie?"
Jake pulled Isabelle closer to him, "It was for pleasure, and you were never supposed to find out."
I shook my head in disgust at myself.
To think that I was actually going to submit myself to this imbecile tonight.
I swallowed and nodded, giving both of them a hateful look, "I hope you both rot in hell."
"You're just an omega with no use. Do you think you'll find someone better than me?" Jake cackled, "In case you've forgotten, omegas are useless. And you're proof enough."
The tears stung badly.
I turned on my heels and bolted out, running through the woods.
When I stopped to catch my breath and take a look at my surroundings, I realized I was in the last place I'd ever imagined to be, and my mother was frowning at me with so much worry.
How the heck did I manage to run this far without realizing it?
The Alpha King's palace was miles away from the Pack and secluded.
I walked through the gates towards her, my mind made up.
I'll prove to everyone that Omegas can me much more.
"What's wrong, cara?" Mum whispered, pulling me into a hug. "Aren't you supposed to be with Jake?"
"We broke up," I replied, harsher than I wanted .
"What happened?" Mum probed. I brushed her question aside and took a long look at the palace.
Either I get killed for being useless, or I actually succeed.
Either way, it's a win-win situation.
I returned my gaze back to my mother, "I want to register for the Luna selection."
KYRASilence didn’t feel quiet. It felt loud.Heavy.Like the air had turned into stone and we were all trapped inside it.I couldn’t stop staring. My father lay motionless on the floor, the space around him stretching into something unreal, something distant. My brain refused to accept the shape of what had just happened. It kept trying to rearrange the scene into something that made sense.A mistake.A dream.Anything else.My hands were still shaking.Zyran’s arms were still around me, solid and warm and real, but even that felt far away, like I was touching the world through glass.“I need everyone out,” Nicole said quietly. Her voice cut through the room like a blade. No one argued.Emma moved first, grabbing the stunned guards by the sleeves and pulling them toward the door. No one resisted. No one even spoke. The room emptied in slow, stunned silence until only three of us remained.Nicole. Zyran. Me.And the body on the floor.Nicole exhaled slowly and dragged a hand down her
KYRA Everything blurred together after Zyran walked in.My mind was still trapped in that moment, Susan’s body on the floor, the blood on my hands, the cold emptiness in my chest. I could hear voices, movement, and tension thickening the air, but everything felt distant.Muted.Like I was watching everything happen from far away.Zyran’s gaze moved from me, to Susan, and something inside him shifted instantly. His entire body went still.Dangerously still."He killed her?" he asked quietly. No one answered immediately.Nicole’s jaw tightened.Emma looked away.I couldn’t speak. My father broke the silence."Your arrival is… inconvenient," he said calmly.Zyran’s eyes snapped to him.And the air in the room seemed to crack. His gaze was dark, colder than I’d ever seen before."You did this?" Zyran asked, his voice dangerously calm.My father smiled faintly."She interfered."That was all it took.Zyran moved forward. But before he could take another step,My father beat him to it..Fa

Like he hadn’t just reduced my life to a political inconvenience.I stared at him, searching his face for something, anything, familiar.I found nothing.“You’re different,” I whispered before I could stop myself. He tilted his head slightly, almost curious.“People change,” he said calmly.“No,” I shook my head slowly, my chest tightening. “Not like this.”Nicole shifted beside me, her presence grounding, her body tense as she watched my father carefully.Emma stayed close too, her hand lightly brushing my arm, like she was afraid I might collapse.Susan stood a little farther behind, silent, watchful, her posture alert.I swallowed hard.“So… that’s it?” My voice trembled slightly despite my efforts. “You brought me into this world… just to kill me?”My father’s expression didn’t change.“If it preserves my family’s
KYRA The ride to the Academy felt longer than it actually was.None of us spoke much after the transport arrived. The carriage cut through the forest roads quickly,I sat beside Nicole, my hands resting in my lap, fingers twisting together unconsciously. Emma sat across from me, watching me quietly, while Susan remained near the front, speaking occasionally with the driver in low tones. My thoughts kept drifting back to everything that had just happened.Davis.Astrid.Zyran.And now… the Academy.Nicole leaned back in her seat, her arms crossed, her expression unreadable. But I knew her well enough to see the tension in her shoulders. She still wasn’t convinced this was a good idea.Honestly… neither was I.But we were already committed. After nearly forty minutes, the trees began thinning, and the familiar outline of the Academy appeared in the distance. My breath caught slightly. The moment we got closer, I noticed something was wrong. The gates. They were damaged. Not destroyed,
