Semua Bab Fated Yet Forsaken: Bab 1 - Bab 9

As the daughter of the Shadow Pack’s Beta, I was born with power, grace, and devotion.Justin, the future Alpha of the pack, was hailed as my fated mate from the moment our paths crossed.I once believed that we were meant to be. With the Moon Goddess bringing us together through a mate bond, even death could not tear us apart. Yet, the illusion was shattered three years ago.Justin pushed me away time and again in the name of repaying an obligation to Marissa, a rogue, for saving his life. Everything that should have been ours, he gave to her, be it our home, title, and our life plans together—all because she said she wasn’t happy. By the ninety-ninth time, the debt of gratitude was finally repaid.I stood at the mating ceremony venue in my gown, filled with anticipation that he would mark me. Alas, all my waiting ended with the news that he had given Marissa a top-tier moonstone, symbolizing eternal love.In that moment, all the pain I had held back came crashing down. My wolf

The day after I was discharged from the facility happened to coincide with the birthday gala of Justin’s mother, the pack’s Luna. I’d rather not go. The only thing on my mind was to stay as far away from Justin’s family as possible. However, the Luna had written the invitation to me by hand. She went as far as to claim that the event could not be whole without me, the future Luna, in attendance. I couldn’t forget how the Luna held my hand and told me to think of her as my mother after mine died giving birth to me.Besides, someone ought to explain my broken bond with Justin to her. In the end, I agreed to attend. The party was held at the Alpha House where music drifted beneath the stars. The guests mingled among stone pillars and wolf totems, the air both solemn and vibrant. I stepped into the estate and spotted them right away. Marissa snuggled up against Justin, her head nestling in the crook of his neck. Even when Marissa’s hold on him dragged at his pace, Justin

As I was leaving the Alpha House, the Luna had a driver sent for me.Halfway through the drive, the driver got a call from Justin. Justin mentioned that Marissa was hysterical with her pheromones all over the place. The driver received instructions to return at once. The driver was put in the spot. “Sir, the Luna tasked me with taking Ms. Everett home.” “Why are you wasting time on an outsider? You work for my family. Turn that car around now!” Justin barked over the phone. I told the driver calmly, “Pull over. I’ll walk the rest of the way.” After much hesitation, the driver stopped the car at the side of the road. I strolled under the moonlight, the wind slicing through my gown. My mind wandered to this day last year. I suffered a severe stomachache in the middle of the night from overindulging in drinks. Justin carried me on his back through the snowstorm to the infirmary. So much had changed in just a year. Back home, I received the wolf-fang necklace, my family

It took two days of travel before I reached the territory of the Northwind Pack. Unlike the mild southern woods, the North was vast yet unforgiving. The snowcapped mountains stretched beyond the horizon like the spine of a slumbering beast. The structures rose like fortresses, heavy with an air of solemn authority. The werewolves of this land held steely, wary gazes like no other. Scarlet Crews, Alpha Damian’s Gamma, was there to meet me. She escorted me to a car that brought me to the Alpha’s main fortress at the heart of the territory. Damian was an Alpha whose very name could shake the werewolf realm. Not of blue blood, Damian carved his empire through blood and iron will, bringing the divided packs under his command. He became the unchallenged Alpha of the North. Our mating pact was vital to the survival of both packs. The Shadow Pack had resources in both foliage and minerals while the Northwind Pack held the vital trade routes to the outside world and greater mi

The avalanche rescue pushed my standing in the Northwind Pack to its height. No longer were there voices questioning my right as the future Luna. The invisible wall between me and Damian disappeared. His presence in my life became frequent, no longer there for just business reasons. Damian would take me to see the most stunning Northern Lights, spend time reading alongside me in the study, and attempt to cook a less-than-perfect breakfast for me. We were like any typical mates, enjoying the quiet and intimate moments together. Meanwhile, Justin faced the darkest hour of his life. With his power on a decline, the council elders lost all faith in him and began the process of removing him as the future Alpha. Amid his turmoil, he was approached by someone unexpected, a young she-wolf who actually saved his life. Marissa had threatened and forced her into exile. As it turned out, Marissa came across the she-wolf saving Justin. By threatening the safety of the she-wolf’
