Chapter 92Rhea's POV After that, I couldn't hear much again. I was not in the room with Alpha Caden anymore. I was now in a different plane. The wind blew hard around me and I could feel the voice calling out to me. “Rhea" was like a soft whisper, something that lingered just out of my reach. I tried my hardest to reach back for it. Maybe if I stretched myself far enough I would reach it. But nothing happened. I couldn't say a word, I couldn't reach back. There was a sharp pain in my head then. It burst into me, shaking me from the dreamlike state I was in just as the name came again, "Rhea, come back and stay with me” . It was so urgent but the pain pulled me farther away from it. It was then that my eyes flashed open when I felt something cold on my head. I opened my eyes to see a woman I had never seen before around here standing above me. She had light green eyes that were intense, they held mine for long. But even then, I couldn't speak either and neither could I move. The

Chapter 94Rhea's POV A few days had gone by since my realization and slowly the loneliness was getting to me. There was hardly anybody that came to see me. If the maids came, they simply dropped the plates and left. After eating, somehow I became sleepy and then the next day I woke up to an empty room with no plates. I didn't have to be a genius to know that I was being drugged. But even these past few days hadn't gotten rid of the ache in my bones or the whispers that reached out to me. That was what I meant by the loneliness getting to me because sometimes I was too awake for it to be a dream. The voice was always there, either whispering or calling out to me and I couldn't reach back- no matter how hard I tried. “Rhea" it called. “Help me," it cried. “Please” it begged. On and on, there was nothing I could do to stop it. What about the random bouts of pain? Sometimes in my chest, sometimes in my head. It hit me hard and so many times I had blanked out before waking up to norm

Chapter 96Rhea's POV I wasn't sure how long I had alone. Would Caden give me days or just mere hours? My intuitions screamed the latter but I could only hope for the former. There was so much still to learn and I would do that before he came back. My eyes strayed to Cassian, the way his pale and lifeless body just lay there but I didn't move any closer. For now the whispers had stopped, I couldn't feel him reaching out to me - the ache had disappeared and it was only me, with as much time as I could to really learn what this ritual was. My eyes drift to the clearly sacred area that had been preserved for this purpose - this ritual. There is a small pool of water that shines blue but when the light hits it from a certain angle, the color slightly tilts and for a moment I see it - red like blood except it disappears a moment later. There was a pull in the air. I couldn't exactly lay a finger on it. Something pulled me closer to the area and at the same time, I wanted to run from it

Chapter 98Author's POV Rhea hadn't made any discovery to her disappointment. Everything had been stable that night. She had been taken back to her room later but she wasn't kept there with the chains on. She couldn't do anything other than wait. Her heart raced with every minute that passed. Night had come, the sun had risen and nobody had been to see her. It was later that day that the door opened as a maid walked in. This time there wasn't any food, just a drink. As soon as she drank it, she felt the strength return to her body. She could finally move without all the ache in her body. The maid left almost immediately and outside Rhea could see nothing had changed. There wasn't a rebellion, at least not yet. She ached to do something but she was there again all day and then the sun fell. Before the door opened she could sense it - nothing had changed. Tonight she was going to be sacrificed. She knew it. The tall and huge man walked up to her this time, gripping her strongly as

Chapter 100Author's POV Lucian was fighting his way through the guards on the ground floor as the rest made their way up. His heart pumped hard in his chest as he felt the urge to reach her. He could feel something ahappening but he wasn't sure what. He turned to Lyra who wasn't far behind him, “I'm going to check the prisons down" he told her and veered off from the trail to a place he guessed his father would keep her. The hallway was silent and there were no guards. He was just a few feet from the room when a body burst out from the side, ready to land a punch. Just before it could hit him Lucian dodged the punch and threw another of his. It was one of the more experienced guards, he had seen this man with light. He looked him in the eyes as he dug a claw into his chest and ripped his heart out. There was no scream, no struggle - he was just gone. A few other men burst out as well and Lucian dealt with them in the same fashion. By the time he was done he had five dead men at
