The villa doors slammed shut behind Jenna as she was led back inside. The guards dispersed silently, leaving only Kaya standing by the black BMW, her arms folded tightly across her chest, her jaw set with irritation. She didn’t flinch when Ryker approached. His aura was dominant, heavy, and impatient. “Kaya,” Ryker said sharply. She raised a brow, unfazed. “Alpha.” “I need you in my office, right now!” he commanded, walking to his office without paying attention if she was following. “Yes, Alpha,” Kaya replied, picking up the envelope Jenna had given her. She knew better not to challenge him even though she hated him right now. The hallway outside Ryker’s office was silent. Kaya stood tall in front of his desk, arms folded, chin high, the envelope still clutched in her hand. Ryker hadn’t invited her to sit. And Kaya wouldn’t have, even if he had. “I don’t like the way you treat her,” she said bluntly, green eyes sharp. Ryker didn’t blink. “This isn’t your pack.”
