LYRA’S POV“What are you doing?” he asked lazily.“I…. Uhn….” I tried to speak but could not come up with anything. “I will leave now” I quickly said and wanted to get up from laying on him but of course I had to be too clumsy and missed my step.I fell back on him again but this time, our lips touched. My eyes widened realizing what I had just done and before I could do anything, I was flipped over. Now Zurien was towering over me while I was on the bed.“I told you you could always ask” he said and I noticed there was a glint in his eyes “and like I said my lips are yours”“You…. No… I…. “ I kept on stumbling on my words but before I could form a proper sentence his lips crashed onto mine.I could have pushed him away and stopped him immediately but I didn't, I regretted not being able to bring myself to stop him, but deep down I actually wanted this.I felt his body pressed against mine as the kiss deepened. It was as though nothing mattered right now, my head was blank and the onl

LYRA’S POVThe rest of the lectures passed in a blur, and the moment the bell rang, I stood up immediately.“I need to go,” I muttered to Lily. She grabbed my arm. “Lyra…. wait…. what are you going to do?”“I need to talk to Kael,” I said quickly."Be careful" she told me and I nodded.“I will”After I had told Lyra about Hannah and what she said before killing herself, Lyra has been really protective, saying that I should never be alone. After assuring her, I left the lecture hall and without wasting another second I went in search of KaelSince we came back to the academy, Kael and Zurien have been putting effort into attending their classes, which made me wonder what made them change. It was easy to find Kael; I just needed to know which class he was in.I finally got to the class, and I saw Kael sitting lazily by the window. The class was empty, and it seemed as though he did not care less about it.Immediately he saw me a small smile appeared on his lips. But the moment he saw m

LYRA’S POVThe academy had called everyone to a meeting, filling the auditorium with people. This was the first time it had been this occupied; each row was filled with students chatting excitedly, as if they most likely knew what was going to be said. But everyone still wondered why they had called the meeting.I sat between Ivy and Alaric, my hands resting on my lap, while my fingers unconsciously fidgeted, I don't know why I was nervous or maybe I was just feeling paranoid that someone was watching me.Kael, Zurien, and Lance sat behind us and it was not planned I was actually surprised they had come, because knowing them they never turn up for this kind of event. But ever since the message that was sent to me Ivy and Lance, everyone has been more protective, and linking it to Hannah’s confession, they all concluded that I needed protection at all times. And then there was Zurien, although he did not know why I was being targeted he still wanted to protect me too, after what Hannah

The woods were too quiet and the only sound that could be heard was the soft rustling of leaves and the distant whisper of the wind brushing through the trees. It was isolated and there were no students in sight, it was perfect for what I needed to do. There was no turning back now, I had to go on with it. “I got your message, what's up” Lance's voice broke through my thoughts. I turned and saw him approaching me, he was only a few steps from me and I could read the expression in his gaze, it was filled with concern. I just hope he was not going to go against what I wanted to tell him. “I need your help” I told him. “Whatever you want I can help you with it, do you want me to kill someone” he asked. My eyes widened “No, why would I ask that?” He just shrugged. “I just assumed that since we are in the middle of the woods.” “No it's not that” I told him. “Then why are we
