Semua Bab One night with my father's best friend: Bab 51 - Bab 60

Chapter 52LolaMy stomach churned with trepidation as I traipsed into the ward. Rowan trailed behind me because I told him that I wouldn't go in if he didn't accompany me. A strong scent of antiseptic and disinfectant clung to different corners of the room. It aroused a wave of nausea within me but I gulped, forcing down the bile that threatened to burst out of my throat. “Hi, mom,” I murmured, staring at the pair of delicate eyes that were trained on me. Remorse hung heavily on those orbs that formerly glared at me in disgust. I wondered what changed. Maybe she'd hit her head on a surface hard enough to reset her memory. However, I didn't care what it was. If it would make her look at me with so much longing then it should remain that way. “Lola, come here,” she requested, her voice soft and breezy, lacking the toughness I'd known it for. Rowan's pat on my back spurred me forward as I dashed into her arms. I was careful to not disrupt the intravenous fluid running into her bod

Chapter 54LolaMom was discharged this morning with loads of drug prescriptions that I was surely going to force her to take. My whole body ached because I slept on a chair in her ward. She'd asked that I snuggle with her on the bed, but it was small and I wanted her to be comfortable on it. Rowan breezed into our room with a polythene bag, handing it over to me. “Today's your first day,”“Huh?” I gasped, palming my lips as I remembered that I had a job to resume. My eyes swept to the content of the bag and my heart swelled with joy. I dug into the bag, bringing out a striped shirt and a pair of black flannel pants. Beneath the clothes was a box which housed a pair of kitten heels. I didn't know when I flung my arms around him, ignoring my mother's questioning stare which burned holes into my back. “Thank you so much. I was so overwhelmed by mom's health that I forgot that I now had a job,” I said. He quickly disengaged from the hug, putting me at arm's length and slid his hand

Chapter 56RowanI'd never considered how Madeline would feel if she found out the real situation between Lola and I. It wasn't a matter of concern initially because she had been absent and nonchalant about her daughter's welfare. But the situation was currently different and I didn't know how to deal with it. I wondered how far Lola and I would have gone in the kitchen if she didn't interrupt, and I also thought of what she would do if she eventually found us in a compromised state. However, it didn't dampen my desire for her, rather, the flames had intensified and now I wanted her more. The memory of her hand expertly stroking me nearly drove me to a mind-numbing orgasm. With each passing day, I was wrung up with the need to mark her. I wanted to be one with her so badly I could think of nothing else, but she wasn't mine and that was something I'd deal with for the rest of my life. A knock on the door disrupted my thoughts with Jade strutting into my office. Instantly, I remembe

Chapter 58LolaMy gaze flitted from Jade whose eyes beamed at me with innocent anticipation to Rowan who focused on serving the wine he'd brought out from the cellar. “I can't, Jade. I'm sorry,” I rustled up as the air suddenly felt tight sitting between Jade and my mom and having ‘Mr romantic Rowan’ around me. It was just too much for me to swallow. She jerked to a standing position as well, putting her hand on my shoulder. “You need this break, Lola. I won't be at work for the next three days, which means that you won't be either, so what better way do you intend to spend it other than going on a well-deserved break?”“As you well know, my mom isn't feeling so well and someone has to watch over her. I don't want her to feel lonely in my absence,” I replied, tucking my thumbs at the nook of my pockets. “I might have to intervene now,” Mom objected. My lips twitched, tilting to the side. My eyes dilated, my heart doing a staccato beat within my ribs. “What? No. This is my decisi

Chapter 60RowanHer tongue danced against mine in a fierce, needy pace. Her back flattened on the sand as I delved into her mouth, unraveling sensations lurking behind the bars of fear, anger and uncertainty. She shivered, pushing her fingers through my locks. While thrusting her hips forward, she threw her legs around my waist. My cock pressed her stomach, hardening further at the torturous contact. Being with her like this felt like I'd been given another chance at life and this time I wouldn't make the same mistake. I already knew what to do, I only needed time to execute it. She tossed me over, rolling top of me as she devoured my lips in a frenzy. My hands moved over every part of her body all at once: her ass, her arms, her breasts. I wanted it all. Bouts of pleasure trickled down my skin when my lips closed around her nipples, her moan resonating in my ears like a melodious hymn. How much I loved how she reacted to my touch. I reveled in the knowledge that I knew which bu
