Chapter 1: The Failure

Roselyn Tonight is supposed to be the best night of my life. My eighteenth birthday. The night every wolf in the Fang pack summons their inner beast for the first time. Instead, it feels like standing on my own funeral pyre. "Begin!" Alpha Dante's voice booms across the clearing. He sits on his carved wooden throne, his gray eyes is cold as winter steel. Chapter 4 :Friendship in Darkness

Three months pass. Three months of full moons and secret meetings. Three months of my life finally having something to look forward to.Tonight is our twelfth meeting.I wait until everyone is asleep before sneaking out. It been three days since someone reported seeing me near the forbidden river. Three days of interrogation, torture and pain.Alpha Dante decides to handle me personally."You've been sneaking out at night," he says, circling me like a predator. We're in the punishment room. Just the two of us. No witnesses. "Where have you been going?""Nowhere, Alpha," I lie. My voice is shaking. "I just needed air.""Air?" He grabs my hair and yanks my head back. "You think I'm stupid? Chapter 6: Forbidden Love

The wolves don't find us.Stark hears them coming before I do. He lifts me in his arms and carries me deeper into the cave. There's a hidden passage in the back, behind some rocks. We squeeze through just as the wolves reach the entrance."I smell blood," one of them says. "Fresh blood.""Search everywhere," another orders.We stay completely still in the darkness. Stark's arms are tight around me. His body is tense, ready to fight if they find us.But they don't. After what feels like forever, they leave."That was close," I whisper."Too close," Stark agrees. "You can't go back to the pack, not after what he did to you.""I have to," I say. "If I disappear, they'll search harder. They'll find this cave. They'll find you.""I don't care about me," he says fiercely. "I care about you being safe."Warmth spread spread inside me when he say that, I look up, into his beautiful red eye, then I realise he was still holding me.Instinctively I push him away putting some distance between us.

Chapter 7: The Blood Moon Witnesses

Derek povMy hands are shaking as I run through the forest.I'm a scout, assigned to patrol the eastern border tonight.
