I Became A Lycan Princess After Rejection のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

Octava’s povI did my best to stay in control. This man was not going to get to me. He was the man who hurt me badly in the past. Now he was here to hurt me again. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. I shook my head. Told myself to forget about him. This man was not worth my feelings. I was not going to let this man get to me.“That was…” I started to say, as he completed for me. “Amazing.”I looked up at him. Then I did something without thinking. I smacked him across the cheek without thinking as his face snapped to the side.I didn’t know why that came out reflexively but it did.Slowly, he turned to look at me as I gulped. This was not how I had expected this to go.“I believe I deserve that.”I chuckled.“I’m sorry.”But he nodded. “It’s fine. No need to apologize.”We stayed in silence for a while, staring into each other's eyes as the tension between us rose high. We weren’t supposed to kiss. We were not supposed to feel anything for each other. This was a huge mistak

Octava’s povI slowly walked into the library, where the maids had said my father would be, and noticed he was talking to some elders.I could have easily gone to where they were seated, but I decided to sit by the window and look into the dark void of the room, which faced the woods.Looking in there, I saw how dark it was over there. No one was shining a light in the woods. It was just plain darkness. I sighed. He was somewhere in there. My poor Luka. He was not even five yet and he was going through what anyone small or big could consider a scary experience,I felt like such a huge failure. How could I save him from such a horrible situation when I couldn’t even get myself to find him without breaking down within me?I wasn’t showing it. That I was feeling a lot. But that was because I didn’t want anyone to know. Yet, they could see through my facade and they knew that I was keeping a brave face.I sighed and looked at the books kept on a shelf beside me. “The art of war,” I mutter

Jakeson’s povI waited for him to say something while leaning against the gate but nothing showed up.“I’m still waiting for you. You still haven’t said anything and your time is counting.”“I need to gather my thoughts,” he growled, which was funny to me.I pushed off against the gate and slowly walked to him to see the fear in his eyes.“Well… gather faster. Trust me when I tell you that you don’t have much time.”“For someone who’s a wolf, I don’t expect you to follow lycans.”“Watch yourself.”Now he was beginning to tick me off with his smart mouth.“I don’t see how you let yourself think you are on the same level with these lycans.”I chuckled. “These lycans are allies.”He shook his head, but he couldn’t do it well, as his neck was still chained to the same spot he was on. “Look, how about we come to some kind of agreement? You free me now, and I promise that no harm will come to you when the one-eyed bandit decides to attack this place.”I scoffed and went to sit on the chair,

Jakeson’s povI could have told her no, but I didn’t want to argue with the Queen in front of her subjects and her elder, so I agreed.I walked to the side, again, with her, and she smiled at them, and then turned to me.“What in the moon’s name are you doing? You should be working with the people I bring so that we can make progress in finding our boy.”I shrugged. “I’m trying to make sure you understand that these people are not supposed to be here with us as we interrogate the prisoner. You can’t just bring in multiple people here. It’s wrong. Besides, it undermines my authority and the way I use in interrogating people.”She nodded, but I knew it wasn't from her heart. “I definitely understand your pain. I know what you’re going through. But right now, we need to interrogate the rogue. We need to get out every information that we can.”“And I’ve gotten them,” I said. “I’ve talked to him. He told me about this lady...”She raised her hand to stop me. “I told you to tell him everyth

Jakeson’s povAfter calling the healer, I rushed back to the dungeon with her, praying within me that he would be alive, but I was beyond shocked when I entered the room and found the shocking sight that was before me.The elder was cleaning his hands with a white handkerchief which had turned red.I was almost losing it, not knowing what to think. He had a smug look on his face which told me he had done something stupid and I gulped. I looked behind him to see the lifeless body of the rogue as I immediately lost it.I zipped into the elder and tossed him into the wall. It cracked as he chuckled while I gripped his throat with one hand and raised the other to punch him.“I… wouldn’t do… so if I… were you,” he strained under my control as he gestured to the cell gate, I turned there to see two guards had unsheathed their swords and readied for an attack.I then turned back to him. “I don’t give a flying fuck about your rule. You were not supposed to kill him,”“He attacked me,” he said
