CHAPTER 11

GILDA'S POV I was so confused; a lot of pressure was on me to hurry to make Angel's food. My hands were already shaking. My legs were shaking as well. I think I am going to make a mistake. The seeds that were given to me by the maid were placed on one of the plates there, and I was going to add them to the food. I began to prepare this food with so much fear. I was scared of failing, of not being good enough, and they were going to kick me out of the house. The maid would stand close to me and feel irritated at what was coming. I paid no attention to her as I cooked. I added the seeds that were given to me and also other things that were on that roaster. " I'm done," I said to the head maid. " You have to get Angel downstairs so she can have her food," she responded. I rushed out of the kitchen to Angel's room. She was already sleeping. I became confused again. GILDA'S POV My emotions were all over the place. How was I meant to cope? I had no idea what to do. The maids were all around me; they thought I was going to run away before Japheth came back. " You should say a good prayer to your creator; nothing should happen to Angel. You are going to pay for it with your life," Jane said. I hated to hear her voice; it was like torture to my soul. How was I going to stay sane without hearing her voice? " I am trying. I am trying to clear my head. What exactly do you expect me to do in this state? CHAPTER 13

GILDA'S POV I dressed up in a silk gown the next Saturday, and Angel was still at the hospital. The house was in so much tension, and I was so scared that something was going to happen to me. Seth Williams had sent me an address, and I thought it was going to be at his office, but he changed the location to a nearby restaurant. What was I going to do in a restaurant with him? This was something that didn't need food to talk about. Was he going to poison me right there so I could feel what his niece felt? I held the door of my room, scared for my life. CHAPTER 14

GILDA'S POV " What are you here for? What's that in your hands?" He asked me. I became dumb; no words were coming out of my mouth. I stood there like I had not heard his question. He raised his eyebrows at me. " I came to do your leg massage. I was asked to do it by one of the maids." I finally found my voice. " I don't remember asking you to do such, none of the maids do my leg massage, besides, it is done at the hospital," he said calmly. Why were the maids trying so hard to ridicule me? Why were they trying to make me appear bad? " I am sorry, I didn't know that," I said. " You can go ahead, you are already here," he said. I don't even know how to do this, yet I can not turn back right now. I kept the bowl on the ground and knelt beside his wheelchair. CHAPTER 15

GILDA'S POV Jane walked to the wardrobe, and no words were said to me, even though I kept asking her what she was looking for. " Is there something you want?" I asked her. " I am trying to see what you are hiding in this place; it could be that you want to do something to her, and I am only curious," she said. Angel was right there, and she heard everything she said. " You do not have to be like this, you and I know who did that to Angel, you gave me those seeds, and I foolishly listened to you," I said, trying so hard to defend myself. " You think so? Do you really think so? You must be silly that I'll let you kill Angel, she is way too innocent for your bad behaviour," she said. She searched the room and left after she was done. I turned back and saw Angel looking at me. " I didn't do it. She is trying so hard to make me look bad, and I can not even defend myself right now," I shrugged my shoulders. CHAPTER 16

GILDA'S POV The platinum villa had so many secrets that I never thought I wanted to find out. It was filled with truths that were not visible or heard outside the house. I was in my room when I began to hear voices. It was so loud that it made me stand at the door, trying to hear who it was. I didn't know whose voice that was. I've never heard it before. I walked to Angel's room to protect her, that was part of my duty. I got to her room when she was almost leaving. " Hey, you can't leave your room right now, it is chaotic out there" I put her back on her bed. She kept pointing at her door, trying to leave the room but I refused. There was no need to lose this job at this point." Why? Do you know who it is?" I asked herShe wrote on her pad. " Grandma?" I asked her. She nodded her head. Was it her grandmother? CHAPTER 17

GILDA'S POV I held the hem of my dress in so much fear, fear of being kicked out of the house, fear of being asked to leave. " I do know her; she runs around town hoping to get someone to lie with, that's all she is known for," he said. It was insane. Why would he say that, all through our years of dating, I never cheated? He was the one who did, and I am the whore? Pathetic." It doesn't have anything to do with me. She does a good job here, and that's it. We have other things at hand, things that I can no longer tolerate," Japheth said. I was relieved, glad that he dismissed it before that jerk would go on and on about how many beds I had to warm before I got this job. I cleared the table and decided to hang around the room. I hated that he was also a Williams. How come he hid such from me? I was never aware of it all these years. I felt betrayed in so many ways. He could have helped my acting career, maybe talked to his half-brothers on my behalf, but he did nothing for me.

GILDA'S POV Things got messy with me and Jane. I promised never to stay away; I was going to find out what she had had against Eve. " This is it? You recorded her trying to push Angel down the stairs, and you have been using it against her?" I rolled my eyes. Jane stood before me with lots of hatred in her eyes. I could see the way her eyes would move from my hands and go back to my face. She smiled, but I could see the anger and hatred underneath it. " Stay out of this. You came here to work; you should focus on that. You will leave here very soon, and I'll make sure of it. Enjoy your little time of being here," she pushed me out of the way. I was shocked. I thought Eve was some innocent lady being taken advantage of. She seemed quiet and withdrawn. There was something about her that screamed softness and being harmless, but she wasn't. CHAPTER 19

GILDA'S POV I stepped my feet into the place. It has not changed; it was still the same. Nothing had changed about it. It gave me the same feeling that I was trying so hard to let go of, to forget, so I could be happy. I stood there, so scared, the fear had returned. The fear of being called stupid, being reminded that I was not good enough. Vera said her mother was not feeling too well, and I needed to find my way here. I stood there, wondering if I truly cared for the woman or if I was there to raise feelings I should have buried. I took some steps towards the house. I got in front of the door and just could not believe that I had made my way there. Flashes of what happened to me the last time came to my head, and I staggered backwards and forwards. I tried to stay still so I could have some balance. I hated to be here, I hated all of it, but here I was anyway. I raised my hands and knocked on the door. I won't waste my time here; I'll see her and leave as soon as I do so.

CHAPTER 20

GILDA'S POV I stood in front of them all, the maids, Japheth and even little Angel stood there, watching me. Vera stood there as well, she was asked to get into the house. Her mouth hung open as she saw how big and beautiful the house was.She was dating Ethan and had not been to this house. I wonder if he truly likes her. " What's this all about?" Japheth asked. I could feel every anger in his voice. It was heavy, with so much bitterness, not for me but for the situation. Vera glared at me. I could see how prepared she was to bring me out of here, into her mother's hands for all kinds of humiliation. " Gilda was at our house. She got there and caused a lot of trouble.
