Eliana's POV Calvin closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose as he took a long, dragged breath. "Baby... I know I've given you spending freedom... But you just changed your wardrobe a month ago. Don't you think that's a bit excessive?" Calvin adds, making me roll my eyes as I take a forkful of food to my mouth. As if! I have spent my hard-earned money on my clothes for the last two years without spending a single dime of his because I wanted to ease his load. Yet he thinks I am just 'spending' his money? Buddy- every damn piece of your clothes was bought by me! I rolled my eyes as I continued to munch on my food, stabbing the pancake that Jocie had just set before me, dunking it into the warm and gooey cream cheese icing she placed next to me, and bringing it to my mouth. I moaned in delight, savoring it as I chewed that sucker. "It's outdated. I have no use for those clothes if I can't wear them. Do you want the other wives in your circle to think I have a cheap

I smiled, standing on my feet, and hugged her tightly.I gave my girls a subtle signal, and they quickly understood, reading my cues and rushing to assist their maid by grabbing all the bags, unstrapping the baby's car seat, and carefully carrying the sleeping baby."Sarah, how are you?" I asked, giving her a tight hug. She chuckled, hugging me back tightly."Oh, sweetie. We missed you so much at the party last night. Calvin said you weren't feeling well, so I took the initiative to bring you a few supplements," she says as she takes a red box from her son-in-law's hand, brings it over with a smile, then takes my hand and sits me next to her on the sofa.'Open it," she says joyfully. She had brought a series of vitamin supplements and precious herbal remedies."I had these imported all the way from Oaxaca, Mexico, just for you. They are incredibly potent, so make sure you read the instructions carefully. Josie, be sure to prepare them for her every day, without a miss." She smiles at

Ellie's POVKylie looked between Calvin, his mom, and Mercedes, hoping for sympathy, but left empty-handed.Mercedes hated me, but she knew damn well I was right. She tried to keep this situation a secret from her brother, thinking she could leech off me because, in her eyes, Calvin never set an expense limit for me.All this, Mercedes thought, meant that every transaction was a notification being sent to Calvin’s phone with my name on it.She had to be some new kind of stupid to think Calvin wouldn't question a purchase of baby clothes, formula, and baby furniture.True, Calvin had set up a joint account for him and me, but what he failed to see was that I had never spent a dime of his money. And all the money his dear little sister, Mercedes, and her husband spent over the last two years was my personal spending money, earned by me alone. When Kylie realized Calvin wasn't going to choose her in front of his wife and mother publicly, she scrunched her nose in anger.Calvin had no opt

Ellie's POVI took a long sigh as the realization hit me. I truly did it. I finally let Sarah know what Calvin had been doing behind my back for the past six months. But what hurt the most right now was finding that Mercedes had known all along. I supported that bitch, and gave her freedom to spend my money, and she paid me back with condescension, stabbing me in the back by being their subordinate. My phone rang, making me snap out of my tearful charade. I pressed the answer button, listening to the person on the other line without looking at who was calling."Eliana, dear, it's grandma. I talked to Sarah; I know everything." Calvin's grandmother says in her old, shaky voice. She sounded tired and pained."Grandma, I-" "Not another word, child. I'm meeting you now; tell me where you are. We have a debt to take care of with you," she says, making me gulp in worry."Grandma, what do you mean?" "Give me your address; I'm on my way," she says firmly. I knew her health had been fra

Eliana's POVI gripped my coffee cup, fighting back tears of anger and bitter sadness, but I couldn't fight the urge. "No... no more crying for that moron. I'm done crying for him. As of today, Calvin Franco is dead to me." I said aloud as I lifted my chin in pride, fighting back tears and taking a deep breath, letting it out softly.I was done crying for Calvin and done with the countless nights falling asleep alone in bed while he was shamelessly entangled with his mistress. If he really thinks I am nothing but a gold-digging nobody, then he better think twice, because I didn't graduate top of my class for nothing. Sure, I had the money and resources to back me up, but I never used them to my advantage. I proved my worth all on my own, which is why he always thought he was dealing with a random girl. "Seems you forgot I graduated from the same damn school as you, Cal. You really think I am nobody?" I thought aloud, almost laughing as I tugged the side of my lip into a hint of a sm
