Chapter Thirty-OneAaliyah’s POV I haven't seen anyone actually as sick in the head as Max acts.Why the fuck will he throw a knife at me, knowing fully well that I could be hit by it? I don't understand what goes on in the mind of this man and I can't even stand his actions. There is no justification for someone who behaves the way he does and I don't know why Iris finds it hard to open her eyes and see Max for the demon he is. “What the fuck is wrong with you!” I snap, frightened that I could have been hit by the knife.I touched my neck while I was snapping at him and realized that my neck was slightly torn by the blade. “Look what you did. Why do you behave like this? Do you really not take the lives of others seriously?” I am shaking at this point and I yell at him so bad that I know the veins in my throat are being stretched more than they are used to. Max looks at me. His gaze still holds his cold look. No remorse, no concern is seen on his face, and it irks me even more.

Chapter Thirty- three Max's POV Iris' face barely lights up with a smile as she follows me to the car. I don't want to ask her if anything is the matter because I genuinely don't wish to know what's wrong with her. I know any problem she has can be easily sorted out with the guards or staff, but she keeps handling all the decorations and planning for the wedding herself, instead of letting the professionals do their job. She's the one who's allowing herself to get stressed by things that I don't find so much relevance in, hence why I don't want to be bothered by it either. We get into the car. Chapter Thirty-Five Aaliyah's POV It makes me cringe as Iris walks in on us and Max still refuses to hand me back my paper. I know Iris wouldn't like to see what is going on between us, but I wish she would be on my side and see how disrespectful Max is to me by taking my things without permission. Iris turns to Max with several questions on her face. I know she's not only concerned about the paper he is holding up in his hands, but she's also not happy to be watching Max and me, acting like we are lovers, having a funny quarrel. “I thought you said you were tired and you needed to go home. Chapter Thirty-NineAaliyah's POVA wave of sadness is stricken in my heart as I walk out of Max's study. Everything about what he labelled me as and how he described me is almost so true, if it's assumed. But I never thought of things like that. Heaven knows I have never had a thought of taking over things from Iris. I know how much sacrifice she has made to get to where she is, but that doesn't mean when she's making a decision that won't make her life pleasant, I should sit back and watch her.
