Semua Bab Truly Yours: Bab 31 - Bab 40

Jessica's POVI woke up to someone massaging my head softly while caressing my hair gently. I groaned and felt more sleepy.I heard a deep chuckle, and the hand was slowly starting to move away from my head. I whined and snuggled into the person's hand."Come on, sweetheart, you need to wake up and have some food." The person who I recognised as Leonardo said while huffing out a small laugh."Noooo," I whined and snuggled into the comfort of my warm covers. He tried to pry the covers off, but I held onto them tighter still, keeping my eyes closed."Come on, baby, you need to wake up." He said in a soft voice, still trying to get me off the bed.I was simply too comfortable. I don't know why, but I feel like being carried today. I'm being clingy, and I don't know why.I huffed and opened my eyes and was immediately greeted by Leonardo's soft smile showing his pearly whites."Well, good morning, sleepyhead." He chuckled."Hi," I whispered, returning his smile. He gestured for me to get

Jessica's POVI gulped and looked at Vincent nervously. I cleared my throat and said, "O...okay, how many people are coming?"His smirk widened even more "A lot." He said, looking at Dad and Dante.I nodded my head slowly and went and sat beside him. He put his arm around my shoulder gently. I relaxed on the couch and laid my head on his shoulder, breathing deeply.I started thinking about how I wanted to tell them that I wanted to get a job. I don't know how they will act. I can't just spend the rest of my life doing nothing.I decided to just tell them and go on with it. I cleared my throat, and the talking stopped as they shifted their attention to me.I leaned forward and started fiddling with my fingers. I looked at Dad nervously, praying in my head he'd agree."So, umm, I was thinking about getting a job," I said, looking at the wall ahead of me, not meeting their eyes.It was quiet. So quiet you could hear a pin drop. No one said anything until Dad spoke calmly, yet I could see

Jessica's POVWe all sat down for breakfast and started getting to know each other. We started eating, but my shoulder was hurting a lot and was causing a lot of discomfort, which was making it hard to move it.I tried to be as discreet as I could, but not discreet enough because the person who spoke next silenced the whole table."What's wrong with your shoulder and knee?" Grandpa asked, causing the whole family to look at me in concern.I looked at Dad nervously, silently begging him not to say anything. I shook my head lightly, causing me to give a small nod.I looked back at Grandpa and said, "I...I had a small accident." I didn't make eye contact with him. His aura is dangerous, and I don't want to get on his bad side.He didn't look like he believed me; none of them did. They can't know; just because my dad and brothers accepted me doesn't mean they will be the same. I don't trust them yet."Sweetheart, you have a dislocated shoulder and a bruised knee; that is no small accident

Jessica's POVI woke up wrapped in someone's arms this morning. Fear filled me, and I started wiggling, trying to get out of the person's grip. Only when I got a whiff of the person's cologne did I calm down. Though I did have a headache.I looked up and saw Jonathan cuddling me close to his chest. I immediately relaxed and cuddled closer to him as I started replying to yesterday's events. After meeting the rest of my family, playing games with my cousins, baking with my aunts and grandma, and finally having dinner, we went to our rooms and slept, then I woke up, but for what?NIGHTMARE! I woke up from a nightmare, and I saw through my blurry vision the rest of the family, but I was too out of it to acknowledge them. And when Vincent tried to reach out to me, I got scared and moved away from him. I saw the hurt expression on his face, but I couldn't differentiate between when he was in my nightmare hurting me and in real life trying to help me.I felt guilty now; I didn't mean to make

He cleared his throat, and I decided to help him when he gave me a 'help me' look. Just because I'm a good sister.I wrapped my arms around his waist and kissed him on the cheek.I know that if she had a gun, she'd kill me right now from the glare she was giving me. I just winked at her and looked back at the menu."Can I have three turkey burgers and—" he looked at me and asked, "What do you want, baby?""A cheeseburger, please." He nodded his head and continued, "And two cheeseburgers, please."She told him the price and looked back at him. "Anything else?" You could hear the meaning behind the question."No." He answered blankly."Are you sure?" She asked once again, leaning on the counter.I heard someone sigh behind me, and then a man yelled, "Hey lady, stop flirting with the man; he isn't interested. We want to order too." He said, annoyed, while cursing under his breath. She looked embarrassed but nodded her head.We waited for our food, and Leo talked. We heard our name being
