Aria sat stiff in the tall chair, her back straight, her eyes cold. Donald stood at the long table, calm like always, like nothing in the world could shake him. The room was quiet except for the soft crackle of the fire burning in the large stone fireplace. “Let’s eat, sister,” Donald said smoothly, pulling out a chair like he was inviting a guest to dinner.
