***** LILY *****The mention of love was enough to change Jace’s mood in two seconds flat. If I saw him having fun and wanted to spoil his mood, I would say the words love, and a switch would be flipped in his head. We’ve been forty minutes in, and he hadn’t said a word since. Just watched as I loosened buttons on Taser’s shirt (just enough that they would fall off after a few minutes of wear.) and the seams of his pants. Bleach went on the ones I couldn’t waste time on. Other than the broody man behind me, this was fun. Therapeutic even. I doubt Jace would agree. His idea of therapy was a bj from a therapist. I shouldn’t be thinking about that. “This is the last shirt.” I announced as I folded it and put it back in his drawer. “Is that all? We can leave?” “No, it’s not all.” I demurred, “I’d like to mess with his toiletries. Maybe a little shaving cream in his hair products.” Jace winced, “that’s brutal. I have to draw the line there.”I considered it. Was that really bad?Nahh

***** LILY *****My sister’s house is loud. I don’t know how it manages to stay this way with only two kids capable of speech, but when we walk in, Heidi’s screaming at Maxwell to keep his hands off her pencils if he’s going to chew them.A conversation Maxwell was clearly enjoying since he was imitating her tone without actual words. “Madhouse.” Jace muttered, pocketing his phone as he approached the pair. He’d been on the device since he was at my apartment. Only dropping it to drive. “Lilman. Why are we eating lead?”“Uncle J! I got new hot wheels” He yelled excitedly while I went to the TV to turn it off. There, a little peace for my brain.“While he’s up in the air with you, could you keep him on the top shelf? At least till I find the rest of my pencils that he stole.” Heidi fumed.“Heidi, no evil plots against your brother.” I chided, even as I crushed her in a hug. “He just makes me so mad.” Her words were muffled by my cardigan. I patted her head affectionately. As much as

**** JACE *****I was a busy man. The several files decorating my table and bottomless unopened emails was proof of that, and yet, I found the time to check my messages again. Three days since we had dinner at her sister’s and still nothing from Lily. No plot to take down her ex boyfriend, or a cheeky message directed to her “snookums”. Radio silence. I loosened my tie and refreshed our messages again. My last text to her had been about our company’s moral outing and there was still not a word from her, so I wasn’t worrying for nothing. Or was I just getting the silent treatment. “Mr Whitmore,” Amy’s voice came through the intercom. “Just confirming if you’ll be available for your two o’clock meeting.”I glanced at the watch on my wrist. That was in thirty minutes. There were several things I could fit into that time, then have the meeting and attend to other things I’d planned for the day.“Mr. Whitmore?”Don’t even think about it, it’s a bad idea…“Jace?”I grabbed my jacket off

***** JACE *****Horrible idea. I declared it from the first day, and I was fucking right. I slid into my car, pulled up Gianna’s name and dialed. If she was too busy, then I would find someone else. Maybe not Daisy- definitely not her, but someone just as discreet as Gianna would be. It didn’t matter what body I was burying myself in, it just had to be done, because clearly, my lack of sex was affecting me badly.Fuck, I could not get the image of her, staring at me so hungrily, like she wanted to take a bite out of me. There was particular pleasure to be found when women took the reins. Some were shy and didn’t know what to do, or overwhelmed with the prospect. Others touched to please…Lily touched me for her own pleasure. It felt good to watch her be selfish. It should feel horrible, I corrected the thought. It was abysmal.“Hello, stranger.” Gianna’s sultry voice came from the speakers. I loosened my grip on the steering wheel.“Gigi.” Simple enough words. I doubt I could mana

***** LILY *****I managed to get hit twice before Jace grabbed me by the waist and hauled me back to our hiding spot.“Now why the fuck would you do that?” He hissed.“I didn’t say I was going to make your job easier.”He said a few curse words and peeked his head over the block to scout for others. “Fine. You want to be that way?” He hooked his finger under my vest and pulled me closer. My heart jerked like it was on a string. “New deal, you do exactly as I say, when I say it, or I’m going to fuck up your next revenge ploy against your ex. I tutted, “Fine.” Whatever. The entire game was fifteen minutes. I could definitely get hit five times without even trying. Then…I would get my reward. A tingle sizzled down my spine. “onward soldier.”“No more running.”“You have my word.” “You stay glued to my side.”“No better place to be, pretty boy.” He let out an unintelligible sound, raised his gun up and started to walk. “Other than my family, what other red string is there?” He glan
