Semua Bab Omega Bound: Bab 71 - Bab 80

KIERAN Last night, Ronan didn't sleep in our dorm. The howl from the restroom was from Fenir he rejected both of us. The howl was involuntary, and it still hurts.Fenir did not stop pacing in my chest, trying to understand what and where we went wrong. It's time for afternoon drills, as all the students move to the arena, an unsettling feeling of eyes staring at me just sobered me up.Conversations don't stop as I enter the arena. They become hushed, but don't stop either. Eyes track me and snap away quickly when I look at them back. The scent of unease fills the room as I glance up at where the professors and dean are supposed to be sat. Elias and Auriel are there staring down at me.Then the noise increases, as Ronan walks in with Ethan by his side with a sad look on his face, like he's mourning something. He goes to sit in the bench with his face regal, posture straight, hands clasped behind in front of him, my heart, mind and body are with him, but he looks beautifully distant, c

RHEA I run out of class when I hear Kieran and Ronan are at it again, and this time, it looks loud and violent. They've been having a series of argument the last few days.Something invisible tears through the courtyard as a cold chill settles, and every wolf in the room senses it.A few students glance around with uneasiness as if they stepped on a grave, someone whispers behind me.“Did you feel cold, or was that just me?”My fingers tighten around the door frame painfully, Kieran stands alone, unmoving, and the chill is coming from him.His hands hang loose at his side, and the tension not leaving shoulders, he looks like someone who survived war and hasn't realized the building he's standing on is collapsing. For a very long time, I dreamed of this moment, Ronan gone from our lives. The bond between them broken, Kieran finally free, to see me standing in front of him, free to choose me.My heart hammers against my ribs as i watch him, but the feeling spreading through from the ot

KIERAN I had barely fallen asleep when a call dragged me out of bed at 3:50 a.m., a restricted zone violation, as students preside.t My signature was requested.Normally, that meant some idiot was trying to sneak contraband alcohol into the school since the fence at the guest block was lower than the rest of the school. The moment I stepped into the security hub, the air was charged, and on the bench sat Ethan with his head bowed, it seemed like he was not breathing or even moving. Then his scent reaches me, it hits me like lightning cracking the sky open in the middle of the storm, sharp and violent, Fenir snaps awake inside my chest reacting to the threat scent. An Alpha in distress, raw and painful, the strongest I've ever smelled, something is wrong, the head sergeant steps forward quickly, “president Vale.”“ What happened here?” I ask not taking my eyes off Ethan, the sergeant clears his throat uneasily, "he was found pacing the corridor in the high council guest wing during

RonanMy lungs burn as I run back to my room, clutching my shirt together, my feet echoing sharply against the floor, I don't stop, I can't because If I do, I'll go back into his arms.My hand presses against my throat as I round another corner, my breath coming in uneven bursts, my skin wrong, too tight and hot.Every place Kieran touched me still burns. His breath still lingers at the base of my neck like a brand.I scrubbed my hand over that spot to erase it but. His bite had already healed into skin. The memory flashes again in my head, the way his mouth hovered over my throat, the rough edge in his edge in his voice as he whispered my name.Last night was a mistake, or a confession. We did not say any words, but our bodies did.For one brief moment, I would've followed him to the end.I stagger to a stop in a dark corridor, my wolf aches, he's hungry, and he wants to go back.It wants to run straight to Kieran and sink into the place beside him, where everything finally makes sen

RonanBy the time I reached Ethan's dorm, my hands were already shaking. I shove the door open and closed it behind me loud enough that it rattled. The moment it locks, my composure breaksThe echo of the howl is still ringing in my head. The grief was so potent.“What do I do…?.” I whisper hoarsely.Images rush into my head, Kieran above me, the way the bond had flared between us like wildfire. The way his eyes softens when he looks at me, even tonight.Like the world finally made sense, and me pushing him away, rejecting him, every single time he tries to get closer to me.Breaking something fragile that had only just begun existing.A knock at the door, as I clean my eyes before I can answer, it opens, and Ethan steps inside.Dark circles beneath his eyes are still potent.“You heard it too,” he says quietly, coming slowly towards me, helping me clean my tears.“Yes.” He exhales slowly as he walks away, leaning against the wall.“That wasn't a warning howl,” he mutters, my chest ti
