Reuben stood still for a moment but his strength was fading he took a deep breath and sat on one of the sofas. The air between them was not as tense as before, as something had shifted in Jackson stare. His anger almost vanished there, and Reuben could see sympathy and warmth in his eyes, but it was mixed with something else… a deep emotion, and it was care.
