    Luka left, and I jumped in the shower once Jess was out of it. It felt so good to be able to wash away the day. It was all very strange. From what my mother said to that strange boy? Man? At the mall. I was trying to think about anything but the fact in about an hour I was going to be in a house alone with a man… And not just any man. A man I had really strong feelings about, even though I shouldn’t. There I go thinking about him. I finish up in the shower and is drying off. I hear a Knock at the door. Strange, Luka shouldn’t be back for another 15 minutes. I hear Jess call out that she was going to answer it. I quickly get dressed in a comfy pair of PJs pants and a graphic T with a cute little fox on it.     “Hey Dani? Can you come here? You have a visitor?” Jess called out to me. She sounded confused.  I wondered who was here that would warrant that kind of reaction.

Before leaving, Jess stuffed her face and talked about her day. She did make sure Luka was fine with staying with me until she got back. I am not sure which one of us was more freaked out by Jordan’s stunt. But I think it’s safe to say we both were for different reasons. Her because she was afraid of what he would do to me in his state. Me, because I have never seen someone I love act like that. “Was it hard leaving the hospital today? As soon as Luka stepped out of the house to make his quick phone call, I paced the living room. Did I do something? I wondered. Something just screamed at me that something was wrong. I don’t think I did anything wrong. However, I did share some of my strange ideas with him. Man, I felt like an idiot. I lay on the couch and placed a pillow over my dumb face. I give Luka step-by-step directions. As we approach the street, the feeling of dread deepens. I shiver. “Are you feeling cold?” Luka asks. “A little, by the way, the net street is the one we want,” I tell him. I was a little cold, but the dread I felt was what made me shiver. I didn’t see any cars coming and going from the street. He drove past the street once and didn’t see anyone coming down. Turning around, he went down the street. He parked about 5 houses down.
