“You need to see a doctor. Your wounds are open, and you don’t look well,” Jay asserted, glancing at Vito as he navigated through traffic. Meanwhile, Vito's mind was chaotic. A lingering sense of dread consumed him, but he couldn’t pinpoint why.
When he remained silent, Jay pressed, “I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Take me home. I have a doctor there,” he replied firmly.
Jay let out a frustrated sigh, taking in Vito's bloodied shirt and exhausted demeanor. “I said I wouldn't ask questions during our timeouts, but this time I can't hold back.”
“No questions,” Vito snapped, briefly shutting his eyes against fatigue. “Just take me to the estate.”
Jay nodded. He knew the Salvatore Family ancestral mansion's location from a previous visit Vito had made with him.
After Jay dropped him at the estate, Vito thanked him for the ride and promised to reach out soon.
