The sound of wind chimes woke Clara. She didn't want to open her eyes, the bed was so warm. The arm lying across her stomach added to her sense of comfort. Her eyes popped open as the memories of the night before came crashing down. She looked over to see a sleeping David next to her. She clutched the sheet and sat up. She winced in pain, then noticing the glass of water she grabbed it and downed the whole thing. "Easy killer," David said. Clara looked back to him, his blue eyes sparkled at her and he wore a beautiful smile. She glanced down and saw that was all her wore. Her cheeks turned red and she put her face in her hands. "Hey what's wrong?" He sat up in bed and started rubbing her back. We'll pick you up some essentials." "So you mean I won't have to wear your old coat and boots forever?" "As entertaining as it is to watch, I think you're better off with things that fit." First they went to the bank. The manager took one look at David's account and they were treated like royalty. Clara left with a new charge card. David didn't mention a limit and she didn't ask. Next they went to target. It took three shopping carts to get everything on the list. Once they loaded up the van David grabbed Clara's hand and started walking her back inside."Is there more?""Now we're going for you," he said.
