She had gone to see him because she felt that he was simply going to offer a flimsy excuse for his absence. She had not prepared for the bombshell that had exploded in her face. Isabelle's grip on the steering wheel tightened as she struggled to come to terms with all the things that she had been thrown at over the past three days. Isabelle had gotten back home and much to her relief, her mother and Brian had packed and were just about ready to leave.
