Thorne’s Point of ViewI had been unable to ignore the irritation that builds up in my chest the moment I see Eden with Theron; I can’t seem to fathom how she could be happy with a man like my brother? He was rough, violent and undeserving. She is meant to regret ever yelling at me and breaking up with me, simply because I had an affair once; I wanted her to be miserable when I met her again, on her knees, groveling and begging for me to take her back.Of course, I would take her back. After I show her that there is no one like me, I wanted to make her admit that she was stupid and senseless for ever leaving a man like me, but now she was not regretful. In fact, it’s like she took some of my brother’s arrogance, she was prideful and vengeful, unwilling to take me back even though I was the one begging now.She dares to look in my eyes and called Theron a real man, I scoffed loudly, what about Theron does she think is better than me? Someone who was even mentally unwell, how dare she c

Eden’s Point of ViewI wondered why Dr. Adler called me as soon as I got to work requesting for what truly happened in my relationship with Thorne.Did he report me to his father?I don’t want to believe he would stop so low, but with his dumb sense of entitlement, there is hardly anything that Thorne would do that would surprise me.I jolted slightly when the emergency alarm went off, the lights flickered, and I jumped out of the chair I was sitting in.“Code blue!” I ran towards the emergency entrance, just immediately the paramedics burst through the emergency entrance wheeling the gurney towards me, the tires screeching as they ran.Felicia joined me. “Your call, doctor.” She asked.“What happened to the patient?” I asked the paramedics curiously, my eyes flickering down to access the physical condition of the patient—apart from the possible cardiac arrest, he also had broken limbs. “He fell from the balcony of his one-story building, he lost consciousness on impact, we were ab

Theron’s Point of View My strides were fast and heavy as I headed towards the trauma bay, I barely reached there and I could already hear the noises, the sound of the scuffle.“How dare you!?” A high-pitched voice stabbed through my ears, I pushed further, I could see them, a total of three non-staff members, two men and a red-haired woman. The woman grabbed Eden by the front of her scrub, yelling and dragging her around. Some of the other medical staff held on to this woman as well, begging her to calm down, while they try to pry her fingers off.“This is not the surgeons fault.” One of the nurses said still trying to push off the woman, Eden on the other hand made no attempt to free herself, she stood lifelessly, following whatever direction she was flung to.It was almost as though she had condemned herself already. Lola briefed me about it, but the moment I heard Eden was in trouble I didn’t wait to listen to the rest of the conversation, this is urgent and it would be tr

Eden’s Point of ViewI heard the sound of my phone blasting from the other end of the room, I dropped it on the couch while I picked snowball up, and completely forgot about it.I felt my heart quickened as my eyes flickered in its direction, I wonder who could be calling me and why. Theron said he was going to handle things in the hospital, and I should talk to anyone about it, nevertheless, I still went to check. It was my father. Why was he calling me?I doubt he heard about it, unless Evangeline told him, but I doubt Theron will allow such information to spread quickly or Dr. Adler himself would have called me. I don’t think Theron would mind if I spoke to father.I drew in a sharp breath as I answered the phone.“Hello.” I muttered softly.“You good for nothing little bastard.” He retorted sharply, and my eyebrows narrowed in confusion. He was attacking me directly for no good reason, my silence thickened, as I sank into the couch, I let snowball down from my laps to run around f

Eden’s Point of View In the last one week, Theron has refused me to go to work, and refused me to have my phone, I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone (his father, mine, Lola, etc.) Just no one, he told me to trust him.And honestly, I did. When I was bored, I just watch TV, or read a book, or just listen to music, and sleep—honestly, I missed the hospital, attending to my patient, and my friends. But at the end of each day, when he comes back home, he makes sure to brief me on how the case was going, and tomorrow, we are being charged to court. If we win, then I would have no cause to hide anymore, honestly, I am worried but I wasn’t scared, not anymore. Just like any other doctor, I care so much about my patient, and what happened on that day was not my fault, and that is exactly what I need to tell them tomorrow.“What are you thinking about?” Theron asked curiously, as he brought the ice-cold spoon to the tip of my lips. I opened my mouth, the velvety vanilla flavored ice cream,
