DariusI walked slowly down the long hall. Every step was a sharp reminder of the pain tearing through my body. I held my left side, where those guards had kicked me just hours ago, completely unprovoked. They did it because they felt like it, cackling like wild hyenas as I squirmed. They called it a "friendly shove."Without my wolf, my body healed like a human's: slowly and painfully. I was just a man now, and living in this mansion made me an easy target.I tried to keep my head down and look small, hoping to avoid any notice. But in a pack house full of werewolves with keen senses, a weak, defeated body like mine stood out like a sore thumb, even pressed flat against the wall as I was.Sure enough, as I passed a corner, three Omegas stepped into my path. They were strong, bulky men—I hadn't been here long enough to know what they did, but one of them had an apron that suggested he worked in the kitchen—but they stood tall now, their eyes glinting with mean amusement."Well, well,

DariusThe morning air in the dining hall felt like ice, but my skin was burning. I stood in a spot that had slowly began to feel like my home because of how much I used it whenever he had to eat, that was, behind Kael’s chair. My body was a map of pain. The bruises from Gorok and his friends had stiffened overnight, turning dark purple and yellow. Every time I breathed, my ribs reminded me of the Omegas' boots, but I hid them well, not like Kael would care, but I didn't want anyone pitying me.But I couldn't focus on my own pain. My eyes were darting across the room, scanning every face that entered. I was paranoid, and for good reason. I knew Donald was talking to someone but the fact that I didn't see who it was pushed me down this rabbit hole.I didn't particularly want to protect Kael, I didn't really care that much for the duel, but I was an Alpha and a man who cahlleneged another to a duel had to honour his word. I said those words to swallow the fact that I was lying to myself

DariusIt was unbelievable how the temperature in the human clothing store had dropped to zero. I knew who Alpha Xerxes was, but I didn't know he had any relations with Kael. From the way Karl's frame tightened when Xerxes appeared, I knew there was some sort. His face suddenly curved into a smirk and his eyes deepened into something humorous like he had just seen the best joke in the entire world. He savored the moment, letting his eyes sweep over the expensive clothes we were buying. My breathing became laboured, my heart racing in my chest like it would burst out of my ribs. The aches that ravished my body slowly began its ticking bomb once more. It was almost like time had stopped to let the entire moment pan out, everything playing out with such painfully intricate details."I must say, Kael," Xerxes began, his voice dripping with false concern, "I'm shocked. Truly shocked. The future Alpha of the prestigious Bloodfang Pack, caught in a public display... with a fucking slave."He

KaelI grabbed the steering wheel firmly, the anger bubbling inside my chest. I can't believe I gave that stupid man something to leverage on. Why was I stupid enough to take him out?Why did I even give into that stupid thought in the back of my head that gnawed at my conscience to at least do something for him? After he had caused that disaster during breakfast, and I had stormed out, I needed a breather.I exhaled, trying to control the anger that coursed through me. He had done that intentionally to just get on my nerves, at least that was what I thought. After patting my pocket, I realized I had left my keys in my bedroom. I pivoted and stormed toward the stairs.I heard whisper from the hallway leading to the servant’s quarters and curiosity got the best of me. I stalked toward the end and poked my head into the hallway when I caught the words of an omega I'm not even sure I had seen before. He warned Darius to stay out of his way and for some reason, it made me squint in confus

KaelLightning whipped across the sky and so did my hope. My heart raced, strangely, in my chest as I stared at the rain battering against the windows as if it was desperate to get in. My stomach churned with discomfort as I stared at the window pain and the lightning that repeatedly slashed through followed by the heavy ripples of the thunder after.Fuck, where was he? I hated the fact that I was worried about it, I hated the fact that I was getting attached too quickly. This wasn't supposed to happen, he was meant to be something I used whenever it felt like the urge to have sex would overwhelm me: he was a fuck toy, a cum dump, not someone that would make my blood pressure rush or my heart race like a parade.“This is all your fault,” my wolf berated me. I sighed, I already knew it was my fault, fuck, I blamed myself as well. I didn't even know what went through my mind when I decided to enter the he car I drive off. I was upset with the fact that we had been caught and I blamed hi
