Mr and Mrs Billionaire のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

Danielle's POV"You look so beautiful, Danielle," my mother said, fixing the train of my wedding dress. "I am sure you are going to be happy." "Why would I not be?" I asked, admiring my reflection. Every bride is indeed the most beautiful woman on her wedding day, and I was no exception. Maybe it was because of my dress or perfect makeup. Or perhaps because I was about to marry the love of my life. I closed my eyes, trying to imagine Stephen, trying on his suit. His perfectly sculptured body wrapped in fabric from the most prominent designers. This man was like the sun, and from today, I would become his permanent satellite. We were made for each other. The last three years were more like a fairytale than real life. None of us could imagine life without each other. "Well…" I heard my sister's voice, which brought me back to reality. I turned around to look at Sophie, lazily stretched across the sofa. "Well, what?" I asked, glaring at her coldly. Sophie only offered me one of her a

Danielle's POV" Welcome to my home, that is now yours as well," Marcus announced with not-so-well-hidden irony, right after the taxi driver helped me transfer him back to his wheelchair. " It is beautiful," I replied politely. This house was far from beautiful, but I did not want to hurt his feelings. It was an old cottage house that needed some serious repairs. The paint was peeling off the walls, and the back and front yards looked more like a jungle, from what I have noticed. " Lying is not your strongest skill, is it?" Marcus glanced at me with a smirk. I just shrugged my arms; he got me there. " My family was very generous, as you can see," he added indifferently. " They gave you this?" I looked at him, furrowing my brows. How could someone think it was an appropriate place to live for someone in Marcus's condition? " When you lose your legs, you lose your privileges." " You have legs," I replied absent-mindedly, scanning the surroundings. There were no other houses in the

Daniell's POV I knew that Marcus did not mean to hurt me with his words; it was an honest mistake, just like mine had been before, but I couldn't help but feel hurt. I thought about Stephen. He was probably on his way to his honeymoon with Sophie right now. Maybe they were still laughing at the prank they pulled on me. I could not decide what was more painful: their betrayal or how easily my parents went with that, as if nothing had happened. " Do you regret?" Marcus asked as if he could read my mind. " I don't get offended if you do." I looked at him. Marcus moved himself from the wheelchair to one of the sofas, and I sat nearby. Each of us had a wine glass in hand. If anyone could see us now, they would think we were a normal couple, enjoying our evening after dinner. But there was nothing normal about us. " I know it is a horrible situation for you. I promise I will get it fixed if you let me. I will take care of you to the best of my ability. I am a man of my word,

Marcus's POVI woke with a feeling that something was missing. This house was usually quiet, and it did not bother me, but today it was different. I got from my bed, listening carefully. Nothing, no sound except the usual one that can be heard in houses old like this one. ' Danielle,' I thought to myself, dressing quickly. I should have heard her if she were up already. I was not used to someone else's presence in my space, so any of her movements would wake me up, especially after last night. I moved myself into a wheelchair and left my bedroom. The house was still quiet. I got closer to the stairs. Nothing. Could it be? I stood up from my chair and moved slowly upstairs. Soft carpet muffled my steps perfectly. I got closer to her room. I would peek and got downstairs, before she would notice, just like yesterday. I cursed myself. It was risky and stupid, but I could not help myself. I could not stand hearing her cries. When I opened the door, she was sleeping, but her body was t

Danielle's POV My spoon was still hanging somewhere between the plate and my lips, like a satellite lost in space, completely forgotten, while I was staring at Marcus. " I was kidding. Eat before it gets cold." My husband's voice snapped me back to reality. He observed me with a small smile, dancing on his lips. I quickly put the spoon in my mouth to hide how his words affected me. His innocent joke ignited something inside me. ' Would I want him to kiss me?' I wondered, as I consumed my soup. That was a perfect excuse to avoid looking at him. " You had to be hungry," Marcus commented on my strange behaviour. Indeed, I was devouring my food like someone who had starved for days. " Because it is delicious," I mumbled, putting my spoon down. My plate was empty, and I had no reason to hold it. " I can tell," Marcus replied, amused. " How is your food?" I asked quickly. This conversation was hitting a new low. Honestly, it looked like an awkward first date, when y
