Finn walked out to the hallway with him. “What’s wrong?”“Are you okay?”“Of course.” Finn's eyes turned silver. “Why?”“Sally is giving you a reaction.”“That’s my mate.”Maddox let out a long breath. “Listen. I know I lifted the ban, but you can’t just go around trying to bond with every human you see. It could be—”“That’s not what is going on.”“It is. You thought Camille was your mate.”“No. Her scent made me react, but I wasn’t willing to fight for her. But I believed something was there. With Sally, I know.” The silver in Finn's eyes brightened. “As soon as I caught a whiff of her, my beast went crazy. He keeps screaming, ‘mate’ in my head over and over. He gives me no peace.”Maddox glanced back at the closed door. “That happened with me when I smelled Camille.” “See. With Sally, I will fight for her. In fact, I don’t want Gerald around here.”“Gerald is not interested in Sally—”“I don’t care.” Finn's fangs left his top lip. “No one else will protect her.”Maddox studied him

Maddox raised his hand to his head and massaged his temples, thinking back to the last thing Aidan had said about the witch.Aidan's eyes had shifted to bronze. “She whispers little songs, and they’re beautiful.”He shook her head. It looks like him falling in love with Camille triggered more problems than he was prepared for.He shook the thought away and considered the witch. “You mentioned a prophecy earlier when I carried you back to safety.”Diana's bottom lip quivered. “The waitress.”“Yes.” Maddox nodded. “What about her? Is she in danger?”Diana's eyes glowed to solid white. Cool air filled the cabin, glazing the windows with a thin layer of ice. The hairs on the back of his neck rose. He prepared to shift into wolf form but stopped when Diana spoke.“The waitress will be the one that starts it all.” Diana's eyes glowed brighter. “She will be the first mother of fighters—supernatural warriors that will have more power than the world has ever known. Kings. Men that are immune

Maddox returned to his mate, thinking of the prophecy and how she would be the first mother of warriors. It was a whole lot to take in, even for him. He wasn’t sure how she would feel about it.To not scare her, He would have to explain this day by day.Meanwhile, Dire didn’t want to wait. He was ready to enter their mate again and again until children filled her belly. You’re a horny beast, Dire.“Yes.”He walked into the cabin. “Camille, my love.”Raising his head, he tracked her scent to his bedroom but didn’t walk forward. He stood inhaling her aroma. The air had been thick with her scent, drenching the whole cabin with the fragrance of clary sage and ginger mixed with arousal. His cock hardened.Oh, Camille. You’re so wet.Her soft voice filled the air. “Come to me.”Slowly Maddox walked forward, his cock damn near weighing him down. He unsnapped his jeans, ready to be inside of her as soon as he saw her. “You’re wet, my love. I can smell you from here.” he entered the hallway a

Two months laterThe threat of other witch covens still hovered over their heads. However, none had come. They hadn’t sniffed any evil women lurking around, but they knew danger could always be near. They could never be too careful.Focus on Camille. Tonight, the Goddess Moon was full. In all her glory, she floated in the night sky, bathing everyone in light. The stars glittered. A small radio sat in the corner near the tree, playing a soft classical song.“Mate.”Finally.Maddox walked hand-in-hand with Camille through the woods. Candles lit a path to his wolves who sat at the end in beast form. Walking in silk slippers, Camille wore a white lace dress that hugged her curves. It had this gossamer fabric that fluttered each time she moved. The bottom of the dress slipped along the forest floor with each of her steps. He couldn't wait to rip that off her tonight.“Me too,” Dire growled. “Fuck!” Once Jake confirmed that Camille was pregnant, they quickly planned a small ceremony. Sh

Sally Camille and took off her mask. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine.” Camille nodded. “I know I look like a mess and—” “Your eyes are glowing.” Camille gripped her mask tight. “It’s. . .beautiful.” “What?” Camille held her hands in front of her face. A shimmering brown light covered her palms. “What is this?" Maddox shook his head. “My mother was a Luna, but she was also a shapeshifter. I’m not sure what being Luna will mean for you as a human. But it is a magical position to behold.” A nude Finn got to Sally. So eager, he didn’t even take time to put on clothes. “Did the ceremony scare you?” he asked Sally and took the mask from her. “I’m not scared, but. . .it was an event for sure.” “Come,” Finn whispered. “Please help me get dressed.” Sally blushed and walked off with him. Next, Diana slowly headed Camille's way. Still unsure of the witch’s allegiance, Maddox remained near. “Congratulations, Luna.” Diana hugged Camille. “Your whole life will be changed forever.” “Apparent
