Alyssa's fingers were still trembling slightly from the shock of what she had just heard. Her blood did not match. It made no sense. Harrison already had a thought. It was something that irked him but looking at Alyssa's state, he didn't want to jump into any conclusion. Not right now. “Alyssa, think carefully,” he said, his voice steady but firm. “Have you ever had any medical test like this before?” Alyssa shook her head slowly, her lips pale and dry. “No… never something like this,” she answered, her voice barely above a whisper. Her thoughts were spiraling, refusing to settle into anything logical or calm. If they were her parents, then why did her blood not match?
