Jenn’s POV Cora led me to a vast, spotless kitchen, ignoring the curious glances of the night staff. I made a simple sandwich, piled fruit and cheese onto a plate, filled a thermos with strong coffee and placed it all in a small basket. “Now,” I said, turning to a silent Cora. “Please, can you lead the way to his office?” She hesitated, before giving me a slight nod. We walked through a dimly lit hallway to a set of heavy oak doors on the lower level. Light bled from the crack beneath the door, and the low rumble of male voices could be heard. Dismissing Cora with a smile, I pushed the doors open. The Alpha King was bent over a large table strewn with documents, his brow furrowed.
