Rain We followed Rex to the far back of the room, through a heavy sliding door. He pushed aside a pile of crates, revealing a heavy iron door. He punched a code into a keypad, and the door hissed open. Beyond it was a tunnel. A real, deep, professional-grade tunnel. Like, I mean a fucking tunnel in this building. I froze, sharing a look with River. "Rex," I said, looking into the darkness. "Is this part of the building's original plan?" "No," Rex said, stepping into the tunnel. We kept moving. The deeper we went, the more the ground sloped down. I could hear the faint sound of water dripping. The walls were reinforced with steel beams.
