Semua Bab Alpha's Regret: The Forsaken Luna: Bab 41 - Bab 50

Rhiannon's POVI'd made it three steps back toward camp when the screaming started. Not battle screams. Terror.Coming from the safe house where we'd evacuated the omegas and children.No. No, I needed to get to Soren. Needed to check that he was safe behind Sera's wards—But those screams. Children's screams.I turned back, my chest burning with more than just cracked ribs. The safe house door hung open, splintered. Inside, chaos.Rogues—five of them—cornered twenty omegas and children against the far wall. Blood already stained the floor. Bodies—guards who'd been protecting them. But what froze me in place wasn't the rogues. It was Isolde. She stood among them, her perfect blonde hair disheveled, her gown torn and bloodstained. And in her hand—a blade.Pointed at a crying child."Isolde?" My voice came out rough, disbelieving. "What are you—""Phantom." She smiled, cold and brittle. "How convenient. You can watch them die.""The Luna is the traitor," one of the omegas sobbed. "She l

Rhiannon's POVThe news spread like wildfire through dry grass.By noon, every wolf in Crescent Moon knew. The Phantom was Rhiannon Ashwood—the wolfless omega they'd mocked five years ago. And she had a son. The Alpha's son. A hybrid child with Chimera blood.I felt the shift in the air before I saw it. The way pack members stopped talking when I passed. The way mothers pulled their children closer. The way warriors' hands drifted toward weapons.Fear and hostility, thick enough to choke on."Boss." Marcus appeared at my elbow, his scarred face grim. "The council's calling an emergency session. They're demanding you attend.""When?""Now."I looked toward my tent where Soren was playing with wooden soldiers, blissfully unaware. Sera stood guard, violet magic already sparking around her fingers."They can't have him," I said quietly."I know. That's why we're ready to fight our way out if needed." Marcus's hand rested on his blade. "Say the word."Before I could respond, Cade appeared,

Rhiannon's POV"Mama, why is everyone shouting?"Soren sat on my bedroll, his wooden sword clutched in both hands. His gray-amber eyes were wide, frightened. Outside the tent, I could hear raised voices—pack members arguing, choosing sides, the chaos Darius had unleashed spreading like wildfire."It's just pack business, baby." I knelt beside him, checking the wards Sera had placed around the tent. Still holding. "Nothing for you to worry about.""But they're angry." He tilted his head, listening. "I can hear them saying my name. Saying I'm dangerous."My heart clenched. "You're not dangerous.""Then why do they want to take me away?" His voice was small, scared. "I heard them in the big room. They said I should be raised by the pack. That you can't teach me properly.""You heard that?" I sat back on my heels. "Soren, you were supposed to stay here—""I wanted to see." His lower lip trembled. "I wanted to know why everyone was scared of me. But then they started shouting about bloodli

Rhiannon's POVDarius was already waiting at the training grounds when we arrived, sitting on the grass.Marcus and Sera flanked us, hands ready on weapons. I'd chosen neutral territory deliberately—not his packhouse, not my camp. Somewhere I could leave at any moment. He looked like he'd barely slept, but he'd tried to make himself presentable. Clean clothes. Hair combed. Trying. When he saw Soren, his expression shifted—hope and pain mixing into something raw."Hello," he said quietly.Soren pressed closer to my leg. "Hi."I guided Soren to sit across from Darius, then positioned myself nearby. Close enough to intervene. Far enough to let them talk."One hour," I said. "If he wants to stop, we stop.""Understood." Darius couldn't look away from Soren.Awkward silence settled between them."You can ask him questions," I told Soren. "Anything you want."Soren picked at the grass, not looking up. Then, quietly: "Are you the man who made Mama cry?"Darius froze. "Yes.""Why?""Because I

Rhiannon's POVDawn came with blood on the horizon.I'd left Soren with Sera. Told him to stay in the tent. Promised I'd return after the challenge. He'd nodded. Said nothing. But his eyes had been too wide, his breathing too shallow.I should have stayed with him.But I'd needed intelligence. Needed to see how the pack would react to the challenge. Who would support the winner. What that meant for Soren's safety. Marcus stood beside me in the tree line, equally silent. The challenge grounds were a natural amphitheater—ancient stone carved into the earth where Alphas had killed and died for generations. Wolves lined the perimeter. Hundreds of them. Their anticipation pressed against my skin like something alive. At the center stood Darius and Thorne, both in human form. Waiting. An elder stepped forward. "By ancient rite and pack law, we witness the Challenge of Alpha. Darius Nightshade, current Alpha of Crescent Moon, stands accused of unfitness to lead. Elder Thorne has invoked the
