"Yeah," I blushed. The sudden lightness of my mood amazed him. The weakness I was feeling was slowly diminishing.. I knew it was because of him. He had lightened my mood only with his presence. I had been feeling so down that Emily even noticed and the little girl had asked what was wrong severally times. "You don't have to invite your parents," Emily said and I felt a stinging pain in her heart. She didn't know that my dad is no longer alive and Mom is sick she wouldn't have mentioned them. "Just your sister," Emily said and I sighed. "You want to meet her that badly?" I asked. "Yes" "You will, one day," I said. "By fate" She added inwardly. "Let's go have lunch," I said, taking Emily's tiny hand in mine. I packed the leftover fruits on Emily's bedside stool. She had had the fruits before taking her nap. I covered her properly before taking the leftover fruits to the kitchen. We had lunch minutes ago and Emily and Amara were now taking their nap. One can see I'm bored as I walk out of the kitchen. I tried to watch the quiz show that was being displayed on the TV but I had no interest. I stood up from the couch, it didn't feel like reading either. "Should I go chat with Ryan and David?" No. I should go check out the building again, then, and probably stop by the pool.

"Okay!" I sighed. "Dr Damian bought lots of novels for me!" I said. "Wow! Really?" "Yes, that was last night and I was so happy. The novels were my favorite genre and the author was also my favorite, "I said excitedly. I couldn't wait to be done with breakfast and resume those novels. I read three of them last night before I went to bed. I couldn't wait to read more today. "You were surprised right?" Amara smiled. "Yeah, it was close to shock cause I couldn't even believe it at first," I said. "You shouldn't be, Damian is so generous, everyone knows that," She said. "Yeah he is" "You must have told him your favorite genre and author," she said. "I told him my favorite genre but I don't know how he found out my favorite author," I said. "Really?" "Yeah cause aside from my family and...my diary, no one else knows my favorite author" "You might have mentioned it without even knowing," Amara said. "You think so?" I asked. "Yes," she said and I shrugged.

"You should have sent one of the maids or, better still, told me to order whatever you want to buy," I said. "You know how much I like buying things myself. Is Emily still asleep?" She asked. "I guess. She hasn't come down," I said. I was watching a movie in the living room, and I already dismissed my bodyguards. "I should start preparing dinner," Amara said, hurrying to the kitchen" "Call one of the maids to help you" "No, I'll be fine by myself," She said. "You're not allowing these maids to do their work, they just clean the house and rest," I complained. "But cleaning the house is part of working too.
