All Chapters of Her Scandalous Affair with the Mafia Don: Chapter 181 - Chapter 190

I slowly heard footsteps, "shoot..." I dashed back to the bed covering myself and pretended that nothing happened, the soft creak of the door revealed a maid, she had brought what I had requested from Jake."Young miss..." she greeted softly, "master brought this for you," she pushed the tray close to me. "Where is he? Did he go out?" I asked gently, she looked at me a bit confused, "I have no idea, young miss. I was only instructed to bring this for you.""Oh..." I said calmly as she retreated gently, my thoughts drifted back to the photo I had found, Jake had told me his mother was German, then how come he was cousins with Glen and Conrad.Maybe I was seeing things or maybe the sickness had gotten the best of me but one thing was certain, there's a lot of things that's hidden in the house but for now, I needed to find that key.I gently removed the IV from my hand, my eyes slowly lurking around the room to find anything suspicious or worth hiding something in. I went to the drawers

"Can you chill a bit?" Conrad winced slightly, Marcus slowly brought out the bullet from his shoulder, my stomach did turn as I saw him bleeding severely affecting the bullet."How... how are you even smiling?" I passed a thread through the needle then handed it over to Marcus who sterilized it with the lighter, he stitched Conrad up immediately but he didn't even move a bit.Once it got painful, he would tense up slightly then folded his knuckle until it turned white, his veins would pop out but he wouldn't make a sound, just stared at Marcus doing his job like it was a normal thing. After he attended to the wound, he looked at me gently, dragging my cheek with a wide smile on his face, "sorry you had to witness that, you can never get used to it.""And I don't plan on ever getting used to it," I exhaled deeply, my environment finally dawning on me, it was a small cottage that felt like a getaway space.Suddenly a phone vibrated, Conrad rolled his eyes annoyed for some sort of reason

Glen's men moved Caleb to the van immediately while someone was attending to him, luckily, he hadn't drifted to an unconscious state completely.I turned slightly, Jake kneeling on the floor with his hands cuffed behind his back while Conrad and Romeo were discussing things in Italian, my brain kept flashing images of Jake actually pulling the trigger at Caleb.I closed my eyes taking in a deep breath when I felt something heavy and warm being draped over my shoulder, I flinched at the person's touch, "it's me..." Glen's soothing voice made me relax for a second."He looks pitiful," Glen suddenly said, looking at a defeated man who wanted nothing but to be loved back. I walked towards him but Glen quickly held my wrist, I turned to face him, "he won't do anything, besides you're here," for a long time since I knew Glen, fear passed through his eyes but finally he let me go.I walked closer to Jake dropping to my knees but still maintaining a moderate gap, "Jake..." I called out softly

I moved slowly under the covers, realizing that I had fallen asleep, the sun coming through the window rested on Glen's face, his hands wrapped tightly around my waist.I chuckled gently, tucking the loose strand of his hair behind his hair while gently trailing my fingers on his nose to his lips when he suddenly grabbed my wrist, "I know I look handsome," his husky voice made my insides turnHe didn't open his eyes but he pulled me closer, wearing a warm smile on his face then slowly flickered his eyes open, "you're such an early bird," he pecked my nose."I can't help it," I smiled, pecking his lips softly but he pulled me for a deep kiss, I retaliated but he pressed my back pushing me closer to him until I yanked myself away from him.I smacked him harshly, frowning my face but he only smiled, rubbing his fingers over his lips, "I haven't even washed my teeth and your saliva is everywhere... haven't you heard of morning breath?" He pulled me closer, nuzzling under my neck while pec

ONE MONTH LATERIt's been one full week since the whole chaos happened in Sicily, Caleb finally woke up about a week later but he said he wouldn't be returning to New York and would rather live a quiet life.Glen and Conrad signed up for therapy which was a very shocking but wonderful thing to do, as for Jake... he's under constant guidance and watch in a psychiatric hospital.According to what I heard, Glen was able to force Jake's father to stop contacting him and look for someone else to control his supposed legacy while his own father was enraged by Conrad's decision to also leave the mafia. It was a bloody decision, though I had returned to New York way before they did, Conrad and Glen looked completely different, badly beaten to the point of death. Romeo told me this was the main path if you ever want to leave the mafia and since they were blood related, he couldn't kill them. They couldn't move properly for a while, even funny Conrad didn't get himself for a while, they said t
