The word was still settling in when Jack gave him a flying punch, she staggered a bit and the man who was talking to earlier came forward about to swing when Glen stopped him.I stood there, eyes slowly getting filled with tears when people started gathering around us, then I slowly looked at him."Whore...?"My voice broke, the word was trembling at the tip of my lips, "did you just call me a whore?"A sudden realization swept across his face then he reached forward to me when Jack stepped in."I think it's best for you to stay away since you can't control your emotions," Jack said calmly but there was a firmness in his tone."Addison..." Glen called out to me but my ears were blocked, the word 'whore' was still ringing loud."Addison..." he called out again but this time reaching forward a bit."I want to go home," I finally said, my ears filled with warm liquid, I refused to cry in front of him."Addison...?" Leslie's voice cut through the crowd and pulled me into her embrace, "wha

"Finally..." Leslie yawned as she stretched her body. I checked the time, it was 4.19 pm, I couldn't believe we've been in school since 11am. "Truly we are cursed this semester, we just resumed back to back classes and the assignments are insane, like why?" Leslie whined, packing her stuff into her bag. "I told you, let's not even talk about the deadlines, hmm, our lecturers are after our mental health." We made our way outside, body aching from constant movements. "Addison..." We turned our neck to where the sound was coming from, "your knight in shining armour is here." Leslie nudged me softly. "Hey..." Jack reached us panting heavily, "hope I'm not intruding on anything?" He asked softly. I shook my head, "no you're not, we're about heading home, class was tough today, we just need to rest." "Alright, I understand, even my class schedules are insane, we already have an upcoming fashion show in a month," he chuckled softly, "but can I borrow you for a second?" He stared a

Glen's face was like someone had hit him with a car, "Addison..."I untied his hands and rushed to open the door while gesturing outside, "we don't want anyone seeing you here, come on, hurry up."Glen couldn't even comprehend what he had just experienced, he zipped up his trousers, arranging himself properly then glanced at me once more."Mark my words Addison, I'll make sure you pay back for this."I shrugged and pushed him outside, closing the door behind him as I exhaled deeply. I didn't want to look like I was an easy girl he could toy with, that's why I did that."Can't believe I almost stripped naked in front of him," I shuddered under the thought.I let out a soft sigh, entered my bathroom and had a long shower, "today was fucking stressful, I wonder what tomorrow holds."****"I don't wanna go to school," Leslie whined as we made our way to class."You've said that for the umpteenth time today, besides we just have one class," I rolled my eyes while settling down in our seats

"I'll call you when I get there," Leslie said while entering the guy's car"Sure," I waved at her as the car zoomed off, I exhaled softly and went back into the big mansion.I went straight to my room, taking out the novels that I had gotten a few weeks ago but never got the time to read. Before I could open the book, my phone rang, I frowned my face but immediately smiled the second I saw the caller...Jack.I picked up immediately, placing the phone on speaker, "Hello," I said in a very soft voice."You sound happy, what's the occasion?" He said in a low tone."I always sound happy," I chuckled."Whatever makes you happy, anyways I didn't see you in school today,""I was in school but just had one class, and we left immediately after that,""Oh...that's why," there were some inaudible sounds around, I presumed he was still in school."Don't tell me that you're still in school,"He chuckled softly, "where else would I be? I literally told you we have a fashion shoot in less than a mon

Morning came far too quickly, my body felt like it had never truly shut down, only hovered in that half-state between waking and sleep. I lay on my back staring at the ceiling, the pale morning light creeping in through the edges of the curtains, every nerve taut. Death. The word still rang in my ears, loud and unrelenting, as if it had been carved into the inside of my skull. No matter how many times I told myself it had been a misunderstanding, that I hadn’t fully understood the language, my chest tightened all over again. "I killed them and there will be more." I turned onto my side, pulling the blanket tighter around myself. What was Glen’s true identity? What part of him had I never seen, never suspected? And worse...what exactly did we not know about him? A sharp knock sounded at my door, I flinched, heart jumping, but before I could even gather myself enough to answer, the door flew open. “Good morning!” Leslie burst in, her energy filling the room instantly. She had a hu
