Aurora’s pov I traced my fingers along the edge of the bandage wrapped around Julian’s arms, my heart hammering so hard I could feel it in my throat. He pulled away from the kiss and the only soundin the room was our breathing. The room was dim, lit only by the soft glow of the bedside lamp and the moonlight filtering through the half-drawn curtains. “Aurora you’re driving me to the edge” he whispered “Then fall with me” Iwhispered, my voice barely above a breath. I was straddling his hips on the bed, careful not to put any weight on his injured side. I silenced him with a kiss, slow and deep, pouring every ounce of pent-up longing into it. His hand came up to cup the back of my neck, his fingers threading through my hair, but he didn’t pull me down harder. He was holding back, always so damn careful with me.
