Chapter 1

Kellan Faust was the one who had organized this bachelor party. He had invited four of us: me and three of my good friends.When I arrived, I found three people dead. Chapter 2

This made me feel uneasy, and I could not help but wrap my arms around myself tighter. I could see my knuckles going white.How could this be? Who had poisoned the food if there was no sign of anyone forcing their way in here?There was no way my friends could have poisoned themselves.Kellan was supposed to marry Lysette tomorrow. Chapter 3

I started to sweat at this. Hurriedly, I tried to explain. “I went home for a bit to freshen up and pick something up before going over.” The timing was so much of a coincidence that I even suspected something amiss myself. “Do you have any conflict with them? Or maybe some small issues?” Jay changed the subject, but his eyes were still cold.I ducked my head sheepishly. I mumbled, “The four of us went on a trip once. I slept in late and delayed our plans, and that upset Lysette a bit.“Things were pretty awkward back then, but Cynthia helped me smooth things over, so we managed to go on the trip in the end.”“Did Kellan and Lysette ever snub you?” Jay’s questions became more pointed. “Or did they ever mock you?”I stayed quiet. Chapter 4

I looked at my figure on the screen, and my eyes widened in disbelief. Then, I looked at Jay, trembling slightly as I did.“Detective, how could you suspect me? I may have been the first witness on the scene, but I’m a victim here too! You can’t accuse me of being the killer just because the footage shows I was there at 8 p.m. Do you know how much that hurts me?“Yes, I arrived at Silkwood Gardens at 8 p.m., but I never went into Kellan and Lysette’s place. Jay nodded thoughtfully. “That’s a reasonable deduction, but what about motive?”“Cynthia used to like Kellan as well. Back then, she even asked me for his contact information. I was the one who introduced them to each other at a department event,” I said stiffly. “What was the incident two years ago that Kellan mentioned in the audio clip? Can you tell me about it in detail?” After Jay said this, he gave a signal to another police officer, who quickly brought in another transparent evidence bag. Chapter 6

I suddenly rose from the chair and grabbed Jay by the collar. I interrogated him, “What do you mean they were very much in love with each other? What do you know? Kellan doesn’t deserve my sister!”Then, I lunged for the evidence bag with the photo on the table.However, Jay was ready for this. When my hand reached out, he moved half a step back. He even managed to snag the evidence bag and hide it behind him. At the same time, he pinned my shoulder to the table.“Give that back! “She was always s-so concerned about her looks. Why would she choose… such a way to… Weren’t you always s-so afraid of feeling pain?”I wailed my grief out into the world.
