Chiara’s POV The news took a long moment to sink in—long enough for Caterina to start looking worried. “Are you okay, sweetheart?” Caterina asked, stepping closer. Over the past two days, pregnancy reactions had begun to surface. As a Healer, I knew it was inevitable, but knowing didn’t make it any easier to endure. “I—I’m going to be sick,” I managed. With Caterina’s help, I rushed to the bathroom. I barely made it before I started dry heaving. She quickly removed my mask and held my hair back for me. Inside me, my wolf stirred, shifting her focus entirely to comfort. With that movement, my altered scent faded, and my hair returned to its natural lighter brown shade.
