Diane. The house was like a tomb. Dom had dropped me off. Everywhere was quiet. I had come back to my room and, apparently, no one noticed my absence. Except, of course, Freda. I stood in my bedroom, my skin still tingling from the cold, while Freda moved around me like a shadow. "Are you okay, Luna?" she asked. Her voice was small and full of fear as she watched how dirty I looked, covered in mud and rain. "I'm fine," I said, even though my voice was hollow. "But you're injured." She pointed at my foot. The blood was starting to soak through the temporary bandage Dom had tied. "It’s deep, Luna. You need to get it treated. I’ll go get the nurse," she said, almost about to scurry off.
