Chapter 50

Scott’s Point of ViewThe morning starts like most others, early and cold.Marcus falls into step beside me as we move along the patrol line, a few warriors trailing behind us.“You’re quiet today,” he says, glancing at me.“I’m always quiet on patrol.”“No,” he counters immediately. “You’re brooding. That’s different.”I exhale slowly.“I’m not brooding.”“Right,” he mutters. “And I’m the Luna.”I shoot him a look.“Focus on the patrol, Marcus.”“I am focused,” he says easily. “I’m just also capable of having a conversation at the same time.”I don’t respond, scanning the tree line instead. He lets the silence stretch for a few seconds before speaking again.“So… what’s going on with Sienna?”My jaw tightens slightly.“Nothing.”Marcus snorts.“Yeah, I don’t believe that for a second.”I sigh, dragging a hand through my hair.“I don’t know what’s going on,” I admit. “She hasn’t spoken to me since the fair.”“That bad, huh?”“I don’t know if it’s bad,” I mutter. “It’s just… nothing. Chapter 51

Scott’s Point of View “Alright, warm up properly. I don’t want anyone pulling something in the first five minutes.” I call out, clapping my hands once as I look over the group in front of me. A few groans follow, but they start stretching anyway. Marcus smirks next to me, shaking his head before heading over to start stretching as well. I step forward, about to call out again when I hear footsteps approaching. I glance over my shoulder, and freeze in surprise for half a second. “Well, well…” I say grinning, and turning fully to look at them. “Look who finally decided to join us.” Sienna rolls her eyes, and folds her arms in front of her chest. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t make it sound like a miracle.” She says, adjustung the strap of her sports top, but before I can respond Aiden lets go of her hand and bolts toward the kids. “I’m gonna win today!” He yells at his friends and Sienna and I both chuckle. “That kid’s got confidence.” I murmur and she nods her head.

Chapter 52

Scott’s Point of View "Looks who's here." Marcus murmurs, nodding his head to our right. I see Sienna, standing a few meters away, a smile on her face as she watches Aiden running off to his friends. I immediately straighten, heading her way. “You clean up nice.” I say as I near her. She turns, a little too quickly, and I catch the way her eyes wander over me, lingering a second longer, before she looks at me and answers. “You mean compared to how sweaty and disgusting I was earlier?” She asks with an arched brow and I grin at her, nodding my head. “Exactly. This is a big improvement.” I tease. She rolls her eyes and folds her arms in front of her chest. “Wow. You are so romantic.” She says sarcastically and I can't help but chuckle. “Hey, I’m just being honest again.” I say, shrugging. She rolls her eyes again, but she can't stop the smile tugging at her mouth. I smile back at her and nod my head towards the tables. “Come on. Before everything good disa

Chapter 53

Scott’s Point of View I have been contemplating doing this all night, and I just decided, why not do it? Why not ask her out? What do I have to lose? So, here I am, quickly making my way to Sienna’s house. As I near the house I hear music coming from it, and I can't help but smile. I step up to her door and reach out, about to knock, but suddenly, I hesitate. My hand hovers near the door as doubt once again begin to kick in. I shake my head and take a deep breath before I knock on the door, shifting my weight nervously as I wait. It doesn’t take long before it opens. “Scott. Hi. What are you doing here?” She asks, her voice a little uncertain but warm. The scent of breakfast reaches me and I rub the back of my neck, giving her a sheepish smile. “Sorry, I can go. I don’t want to disturb your breakfast.” I say quickly. “Uncle Scott!” Aiden’s voice suddenly rings out before either one of us can say anything else. He comes barreling into me, wrapping his arms around

Chapter 54

Scott’s Point of View“Where are we going?” she asks after a while, glancing over at me.I shrug, keeping my eyes on the road, a smirk tugging at my lips. “You’ll see.”She narrows her eyes at me, clearly unimpressed. “So this is the part where you kill me somewhere in the forest, huh?”I laugh. “Wow. So much trust.”“Hey, you are the one being all mysterious,” she shoots back, crossing her arms but smiling anyway.“I promise, I have no murder plans tonight,” I say, glancing at her.She rolls her eyes. “Good. That would really ruin the date.”I grin at that. “So you admit this is a date?”She hesitates for half a second, then shrugs. “Maybe.”“Maybe?” I echo. “That’s a little harsh, Si. I set the bar higher than ‘maybe.’”She laughs softly. “We’ll see how the night goes.”“Wow. Tough crowd.”“Drive, Alpha,” she teases. “Impress me.”—She steps out of the truck and looks around, her eyes widening slightly.“You set all this up?” she asks softly.I rub the back of my neck. “Yeah. I fig

Chapter 55

Bianca’s Point of ViewThe garden is quiet and I slowly sit down on the stone bench. My fingers trace the edges of my phone as I stare blankly at the flowers in front of me. The air is warm, peaceful… but it doesn’t touch the storm sitting heavily in my chest.Things have been tense. No, worse than tense.Silent.Asher and I have barely spoken since the fight. We pass each other in the halls, exchange short, polite words when necessary, but that's it.And it’s eating at me, because I know my time is running out.I swallow hard, leaning back slightly and I close my eyes for a few seconds.Maybe I pushed too hard.Maybe he did.Maybe we both did.Maybe I should just go apologize, maybe he will feel sorry and we can try again. My phone suddenly buzzes in my hand.I frown, glancing down at the screen.Unknown number. My stomach drops before I even open it, because I already know.I slowly unlock my phone. You’re running out of time.Tell Asher to sign the treaty.Or I will make you regre

Chapter 56

Bianca’s Point of View I wake up with a jolt, sitting upright in bed, my breath coming out in short, uneven bursts. “God…” My hand presses against my chest as I try to calm myself down, the panic from the nightmare still clinging to me. For a few seconds, I just sit there, blinking rapidly, trying to figure out where I am. Then it clicks and my shoulders drop slightly. I’m here, safely in my room at Asher’s pack.” I swallow hard, dragging a hand over my face. Another sharp pull twists low in my abdomen and I suck in a breath. “Ah...” I freeze, my fingers gripping the sheets as I wait for it to pass. “Okay… okay…” Slowly, the pain eases and I let out a shaky breath. “That’s new…” I mutter under my breath. I shift slightly, glancing toward the window. It’s bright outside. Too bright. My eyes quickly snap to the clock on my bedside table. 9:06 am “Shit.” I practically throw the blankets off me, scrambling out of bed. “Shit, shit, shit!” I mutter as I rush into the

Chapter 57

Bianca’s Point of View I rush out of his office, my chest tight, my hands shaking at my sides. My wolf immediately snarls at me. Where are you going? You need to tell him. Why? You heard him. He doesn’t care. He won’t help us. I snap at her as I make my way down the hallway. That’s not... We will just have to think of another way to get this treaty between them. I cut her off sharply and close the link between us. Another sharp pain suddenly twists through my abdomen. I hiss, stopping mid-step and bracing myself against the wall. “Damn it…” I mutter out loud, squeezing my eyes shut as I try to breath through it. The pain lingers for a few seconds before easing and I let out a breath, straightening slightly. Maybe we should go to the hospital. My wolf says worriedly but I shake my head. No. I’m fine. It’s just Braxton Hicks. I have things to do. Bianca. I said I’m fine. I snap, once again cutting the link before I push off the wall and keep walking, i

Chapter 58

Scott’s Point of View I lean against the hood of my truck, my arms loosely folded in front of my chest, watching the clinic door. Caleb steps out first, spotting me immediately and he smirks at me. “You’re early.” He teases and I laugh. “I don’t like waiting.” I say, shrugging slightly and he laughs. “That’s a lie. You have e been waiting on her for weeks.” He teases easily and I roll my eyes. “Did you clear her schedule?” I ask, changing the subject. He nods his head. “Just like you asked. She is all yours for the afternoon.” He says and I can't help but grin. “Thank you.” I say and he nods his head. He starts walking past me, but then he pauses. “Try not to screw it up.”He says and I look at him. “I’m offended that you think I would.” I say and he snorts. “I don’t think. I know.”He teases. I glare at him, but he just laughs and keeps walking past me. A second later, the clinic door opens again, and there she is. Sienna steps out, brushing her

Chapter 59

Sienna’s Point of View Emma opens my door without knocking and I arch a brow at her but before I can say anything she speaks. “Get dressed.” She says. I blink at her from the couch, slightly surprised. “Hello to you too.” I say sarcastically and she shakes her head. “Nope. No greetings. No small talk. Get up. Now.” She says and I frown at her. “I just got home.” “And now you’re going out.” “But I don’t want to go out.” I say, but she folds her arms in front of her chest. “That wasn’t a suggestion.” She says. I sigh, dragging a hand down my face. “Emma…” “No. I know Aiden is at a sleepover so you are all alone tonight. You have been working, training, mom-ing, and overthinking everything. You need a break.” She cuts me off, walking over and grabbing my arm. “I had a break. I literally went on a picnic today.” I argue and her eyes light up. “Oh, I know.” She says excitedly. I narrow my eyes at her but shake my head. “Of course you do.” I m
