Chapter 32Sky’s P.O.VStanding in front of me was the person I had been worried about. The same person I thought might have done something reckless was standing right before me, holding a pink teddy bear with a smile on her face. However, that smile didn’t last long when she set her sights on her room. It’s understandable if she was displeased. After all, I had some people pull down the door.“What’s the meaning of this?” she asked.**Flash back**Once they had successfully taken the door down, I rushed inside, only to find the room empty. She wasn't in the bathroom either. My heart almost relaxed, but the fact that she was missing wasn’t a good thing either. And what made it worse, I didn’t have her contact to reach her. I paid the person who had taken down the door. Once he received his payment, he left with his apprentice and I was left alone in the room.I sat on the bed, my elbows resting on my knees, and I ran my fingers through my hair. I was tired and felt like giving up on i

Chapter 34Leah's P.O.V If I had known Sky would be here, I never would have agreed to come.“Sky's here too?” I asked.“Yes. He's also sleeping over,” she replied.“You didn't mention it before now,” I folded my arms.“Since we're two couples, let's make it a movie night,” she announced, ignoring what I had just said.“On a Tuesday night?” Sky asked, raising an eyebrow.“Then we won't stay up late,” she said.I was speechless. Didn't she call me over to study together? What was this now?She deceived me. Since I've lied to her before, we're even. I'll let it slide. As much as I wanted to storm out and go back home, I didn't want to be the bad person here.“I'll go have a quick shower. Don't worry, I won't take long. It's Nathan who usually spends a long time in the shower.“No I don't,” he argued.“Yes, you do,” she said and ran to her room. Nathan also got up and went to his room.I tried my best to push the anger behind me and find how they always argued like children, funny.I su

Chapter 36 Leah's P.O.V I hated how she always decided things for everyone else. It made me feel a sudden irritation, and I felt like storming out instantly."You think you can just set up an outing on your own? Did you even care if I was interested?" Sky said."I didn't mean to," Nora said, fixing her gaze on the floor."You guys have fun," Sky said and left. Nathan went after him."Alright, I'll get going too," I said.“Leah,” she said quickly, stepping forward, but not getting too close. So she also knew she overstepped her bounds.I stared at her blankly. Her eyes were misty, and I felt anything but sympathy."You're not mad at me, too… right?” she asked."You—""I had a reason!" she interrupted before I could make a complete sentence.Every time something happened, she somehow turned out to be the mastermind behind it.First it was Fiona and Yaya at the café, then shopping. I'm sure she had asked Nathan to bring me along to the pre-exam party, then the other day when I was avoid

Chapter 38 Leah's P.O.V “Ouch!” Nora winced.“Are you okay?” I asked, instinctively taking her hand in mine. She looked at me with tearful eyes, not saying a word.Standing up straight, I said coldly, “You shouldn’t be here.”"I know, Leah," she said softly. "But... you have to help me. If our friendship meant anything to you, then please help me… just this once."I stared at her for a while, my heart slowly softening. This was Nora. We'd eaten together, slept in the same room, and gone to class side by side for months. She was literally my only friend in school. I wasn't that heartless to ignore her completely.“What do you want me to do?" I asked.“Are we going to talk over the door?” she asked, and that was when I realized that I didn't even invite her in.I hesitated slightly before stepping aside to let her in.Nora's P.O.VI was glad that Leah was finally willing to help.Once we sat down, she said flatly — “Go on.”She got straight to the point, not even offering me a glass o

Chapter 40Leah's P.O.V I closed my eyes, waiting for her attack to land. An inexplicable dryness clawed at my throat. I didn't know if I was crying or not, but I didn't feel anything else until the doorbell rang.I opened my eyes, only to find myself sitting on the couch. My book was resting on my stomach, and I was lying in an uncomfortable position. Was that… a dream? It felt so… real.I touched my stomach, and that feeling of being stabbed still lingered. Even my throat was sore. I placed my hand behind my neck to massage it, then rubbed my throat.“Ding dong!”The doorbell rang again. I had almost forgotten the sound that had woken me up from that nightmare. Then I remembered…The doorbell had rung, Nora came in and pulled out a knife from the delivery package..."Ding dong!"The doorbell rang again.I pushed myself up and noticed that my legs were weak. That strange feeling still curled in my stomach as I reached for the door handle. The delivery guy slowly came into view, and
