NEW OBSESSION

RAYNE "General Silas, there seems to be some kind of mistake. This woman is a slave, the Alpha's slave," Elder Vance explained. General Silas hesitantly pulled his hand away from my skin. He coldly examined my position on Reid's lap before taking a step back. "My apologies, Alpha Reid," he said, respectfully lowering his head. "But are you certain that she's wolfless? She looks identical to Mia." "Your missing daughter?" Reid asked, curiosity lacing his words. "Daddy, you're confused," Mira cut in, tugging at her father's arm. "She's just a human Reid found at the border. A slave. She's wolfless and can't shift. She's nothing like my sister was." Silas pulled his arm away, but his eyes remained narrowed on me. "What a striking resemblance," he whispered under his breath. He turned to Reid before taking his seat at

PLEASURE

RAYNEThe heavy door to Reid's quarters clicked shut, sealing us inside. The adrenaline that had been coursing through my veins curdled into something hotter, more volatile. I spun on him before he could take another step. "Do you want me dead?" The words exploded from me, raw and ragged."Was that the point? To drag me in front of your pack, your parents, so they could finish what Elder Thorne started?""I'm human, Reid. No claws. No wolf healing. No speed. Just flesh and bone that breaks!" I yelled into his face.He stood there, his golden eyes tracking my frantic pacing. He didn’t speak, which only fueled my anger. "You set me up to fail! You threw me to wolves who literally want me dead!"In a blur of motion, he was on me. My back hit the solid oak of the door. His hands framed my face. Not gently. His thumbs dug into my jaw to force my gaze up to his."If I thought for one second you couldn’t win, I wouldn’t have entered you into that fight," he growled, his voice low and gr

SCAR

RAYNEI entered the dining room, taking a seat inside the empty room. Reid's seat was empty. He was gone when I woke up, but the ache between my thighs remained. Carla entered the room, carrying an obscene amount of food. Steaming eggs, thick-cut bacon, fresh fruit, and rich pastries. "Good morning, Rayne," she blankly greeted me. That was the first time she's ever said my name. "Good morning, Carla," I kindly greeted her. "Do you perhaps know where Reid went?" I carefully questioned. Her hands paused as she set the last tray on the table. "Alpha Reid hasn't slept; he's been at the border since 4:00 AM.""Another rogue breach?" "No, he's been preparing the grounds for the influx of foreign packs," she explained, pouring me a glass of fruit juice. "Foreign packs?" I whispered under my breath in confusion. "Alpha Reid said that if you don't eat, he'll find a more... creative way to feed you," Carla said before leaving the dining room. Blood rushed to my ears and cheeks. Why would

SILVER

RAYNEReid's fists were still pounding against the bathroom door. Before I could pull my dress back on, the door burst open. His hands possessively landed on my hips as he pulled me close. His eyes landed on the mirror, on my back. He moved his hand to the small of my back, stroking the rough pad of his thumb over the mark. A burning sensation spread through my back. I turned to look in the mirror, and the mark started glowing silver. "What is this?" I asked, my voice trembling as I watched the silver light pulse in the mirror, matching the heavy thud of my heart.Reid didn’t answer immediately. His grip on my hips tightened, his knuckles turning white. His usual arrogance was gone, replaced by a look of raw, predatory awe."It’s the Mark of the First Mother," he rasped, his voice dropping an octave. "The Silver Luna. The prophecy promised she would return when the North was on the brink of collapse.""I’m just a nurse, Reid," I whispered, shaking my head, trying to pull away fro

WATER

RAYNEThe silver fire surged. Then, I heard it. His voice. "Look at me, Rayne," Reid murmured, and my head snapped to him. "Don't look at anything else.""How are you talking to me right now?" I questioned in confusion. "It's called a mind link. Your wolf is waking up, Rayne," he calmly explained, and my heart picked up its pace. "Wolf? What wolf? I'm not supposed to have a wolf—""Get her!" Luna Selene's voice cut through the shocked gasps. "She is an abomination. Take her out before she kills us all.""No one will touch, Rayne. She will participate in the Luna Trials. The fire turned silver, not black," Reid said, his eyes never leaving mine. "Reid, silver fire is a danger to our world. How is a human even capable of doing something this powerful?" Alpha Marcus questioned in confusion. "Rayne will participate. Rules are rules," Reid continued, using his Alpha voice on them. The silence stretched. No one dared to go against him. He gave me a single nod, and I sucked in a deep

FALLEN

RAYNE"You're so worried about a human, but what happens when I'm finally out of the picture?" I laughed at them. "Do you think this is funny?" Mira asked, her hair gripping my hair, tighter. I gripped her wrists, hard, my eyes burning into hers. I slowly lowered her hand from my hair. Hera, who had been quiet, observing the situation, finally made a move. She moved like a shadow, and in a blur of motion, she was behind Mira, hands wrapped around her throat. Mira faught back, snarling at Hera in anger. Her claws cut into Hera's skin, immediately drawing blood. "The last thing I'll do is get killed by an Iron-Claw bitch," Mira hissed out. They were distracted. My eyes shifted to the Heart Stone, a small smirk settling on my face. This was my only opportunity. Without hesitation, I was moving. I carefully stepped into the pool in the center of the cave, the blue water swallowing me whole. Mira's head snapped to me when she realized I was in the water. She dropped Hera like a sl

SATISFACTION

RAYNEI woke up to the sound of rain thrumming against the windows inside Reid's bedroom. I carefully sat upright, my eyes instantly falling on Reid, sitting on a chair beside the bed. He was asleep. A soft sigh escaped my lips. I quietly got out of bed to sit on his lap. "Reid," I whispered, framing his in my hands. My hands froze as his skin turned red under my touch. I instantly pulled my hands back. Reid caught my wrists, his eyes slowly fluttering open. "Let me go," I said, eyes wide with horror. He tightened his grip on my wrists, a soft sizzling sound filling the room. "What are you doing, Rayne?" He rasped, his lips brushing against mine. "Does it hurt when you touch me?" I asked, my eyes finally meeting his. He shook his head. "No," he grunted, claiming my mouth in a rough, possessive kiss. My eyes fluttered shut, hands curling into his shirt. He shifted me until I was straddling his lap. His large hands landed on my ass, and he pulled me closer, until his erection w

FLAME

RAYNEMy eyes were locked on the bedroom door, wondering when Reid would be back.He wasn't there when I woke up this morning. I got up from my chair, looking at myself in the mirror. The matching bra and leggings I was wearing felt comfortable. And this room didn't feel like a prison cell anymore; it felt like a sanctuary. Reid has changed. I wondered why he changed. Was it because I might be General Silas's daughter, or because the Heart Stone was now inside of me?Or did he change simply because I'm his mate?A loud knock on the bedroom door snapped me out of my thoughts. I opened the door and found Ava standing there. She entered the room without asking permission. "Rayne, you need to leave," she uttered, eyes wide with panic. "I do?" I frowned lightly. "Right, I do have to leave. Because that's always been my plan.""The Elders have called an emergency assembly in the Great Hall. They want you disqualified from the Trials, and the pack is calling for your execution. They belie

JUDGMENT

RAYNE The air inside the Great Hall was cold and thick with tension. Beta Aaron stood before the only remaining contestants: Mira, Hera, and me. The silence in the room was absolute. Reid stood beside the high table. He didn't speak to me, didn't mind-link me, but his presence was an anchor in the storm of judgment. "The First Quest was a test of survival," Beta Aaron announced, his voice loud and clear inside the hall. "The Second Quest is a test of command. A Luna does not lead herself; she leads the Pack. Your task is simple: guide three low-ranking Omegas through the White-Ash Rogue Territory. The goal is to reach the Black Rock checkpoint without a single death." He motioned, and three lines of three Omegas were brought forward. Mira got her group. They were scared but recognized her status. Hera’s group looked like they were marching to their own funeral. She had already killed her previous competition, and they knew it. Then, I looked at my group. Three Omegas, thei

MERCY

RAYNE"The final quest is simple," Alpha Marcus announced."A Luna is the provider when the Alpha is at war," he explained, and the wolves surrounding us nodded in agreement. "Our borders are restless. Reid has been called to the Northern Summit to negotiate terms. While he is gone, you will be judged on your ability to provide for the War Fund. Specifically for our widows and orphans."Beside me, Mira smirked, her eyes already darting toward the Slave Commons."The contestant who raises the most funds by the time the Alpha returns will be named Luna," Marcus finished. "You have five days."Reid didn't have time to say goodbye. He gave me one last look before he shifted and vanished into the tree line with his guard.By noon, the mansion was a nightmare.I stood on the balcony, watching Mira in action. She had called in three slave traders from the Iron-Claw pack."The older Omegas are useless for the war," her voice echoed through the courtyard. "Sell them. And the orphans over the
