"Uncle—!"All six of us shouted at the same time, but before anyone could say another word, Uncle quickly raised a finger to his lips."Shhh."His voice was barely above a whisper. The smile on his face disappeared, replaced by a serious expression that instantly made me nervous. We all fell silent.Uncle glanced toward the doorway, then toward the staircase, as if checking whether someone was listening.Only after making sure the coast was clear did he lean closer."Keep your voices down," he whispered. "The walls in this house have ears."A strange feeling settled in my stomach. Why was he acting like this?"Please don't tell Mom and Dad about our plan," I pleaded quietly.Uncle looked at each of us one by one before nodding.“Fine,” he said quietly. “But first, promise me something.”We all straightened immediately."You must not tell anyone that I know about this," he said seriously. "Not your parents. Not your grandpar

The rogues moved closer, one of them gripped Ivy’s arms as he dragged her away from us. Ivy struggled and kicked, but they were too strong.“Let me go!” she cried, tears streaming down her face.“Ivy!” Jasmine shouted, running forward, but I quickly grabbed her arm before she could do something dangerous. There were too many of them. We had no chance of fighting back. The rogue leader smirked as he stared at us.“Take them all,” he ordered coldly. “Our master will be very pleased with this.”There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and my legs felt glued to the ground. Then suddenly, an arrow came flying from a distance and pierced the back of one of the rogues. He screamed loudly in pain and fell forward instantly. Every rogue froze and turned toward the direction the arrow came from.My heart skipped when I saw who it was.“It’s him, the same masked man I have seen around my window,” I said without thinking, my voice shaking.“Mr Bla

The moment we got home, Dad grabbed my arm and dragged me upstairs without saying a word. The silence was honestly worse than if he had yelled at me the entire way home. His face was hard and unreadable, and every step we took up the stairs made the knot in my stomach tighten. I already knew I was in trouble. After everything that had happened today, there was no escaping it. The second we reached my room, Dad pushed the door open, led me inside, and pointed toward the center of the room. “Three weeks,” he said firmly. “You’re grounded for three weeks, Jason.” Before I could even think of defending myself, the door slammed shut behind him with a loud bang. I stood there for several seconds staring at the closed door before finally letting out a long sigh and dropping onto the floor. I pulled my knees up against my chest and rested my forehead on them. Three weeks? To adults, maybe that didn’t sound like much, but to me it felt like forever. I hated being punished, but not be

~ Kiara ~“What the hell are you doing putting your dirty butt on my bed?!” Kendra shouted so loudly that I nearly dropped the phone from my hand.My heart skipped a beat. Without thinking twice, I quickly ended the call before Jason could hear anything else. The last thing I needed was for him to hear Kendra screaming at me like I was some kind of criminal. I stared at the dark screen for a second before slipping the phone behind my back. Slowly, I turned toward Kendra who was standing by the door, glaring at me like she had just caught me stealing something valuable. Even though we shared the same bedroom, it never felt like we belonged in the same space anymore.“Kendra, why were you shouting so loud like that?” I asked quietly as I immediately stood up from her bed and took a step back. The question had barely left my mouth before her face twisted with annoyance.“How dare you ask me that?” she snapped. “And who were you talking to on the phone?” Her eyes narrowed suspiciously.

I woke up because of the phone ringing somewhere beside my bed. At first, I ignored it and buried my face deeper into my pillow. The ringtone wasn’t mine anyway, so I didn’t think much about it. My eyes felt heavy, and my body was still begging for more sleep. The ringing stopped, and I was just about to drift back into another dream when something suddenly clicked inside my head. My eyes flew open. That wasn’t my phone ringing. It was K’s phone.I immediately sat upright on my bed and grabbed the phone from my bedside table before it could stop ringing again. The screen lit up, and I saw it was K. A smile instantly appeared on my face. I quickly answered the call and pressed the phone against my ear.“Hey, K,” I said, trying my best to sound awake even though my voice still sounded sleepy.A soft laugh came from the other side of the call. “Did I wake you up?”“Kind of,” I admitted while rubbing my eyes. I stretched my arms and slowly got out of bed b
