SERAPHINA“Miss Cross?”The receptionist’s voice came through.I lifted my head from where it had been resting against the cold wall. I nodded once, stood up, smoothed my jacket, and followed her as she guided me down the narrow corridor lined with glass offices.This was my second interview of the day and my feet ached from all the movement I had done at the last place.
