SAMIEN'S POV “What's up?” Mark asked, noticing the anger on my face. I ignored him, my feet moving quickly along the tiled floor. Their noise was all I could hear. I hated that. In fact I hated everything. All I wanted was some peace and quietness. I needed to calm my head and just do some thinking. Somehow, Mark understood this and didn't come after me. I found a spot close to the large training ground. It was quiet and not a single soul to be seen there. Also, the sun was yet to make its way there. I was worried and there was no denying that. SAMIEN'S POV I hung up at once, cold shivers coursing down my spine. How in the world? Wait, could my sister have given him the number? I began panicking, hands fiddling against each other. Unable to keep calm, I sprung to my feet and began pacing around. The phone rang again. And again. I ignored it, my heart racing non-stop. The air had suddenly grown tense. Hot too. I struggled for breath, my hands running through my hair. Frustrated, I turned off my phone then jumped into bed, hands pulling the sheets over my head. I still couldn't sleep. MARK'S POV I sat on the edge of the block, my feet dangling around as I stared into oblivion. This was exhausting. Tiring too. Countless tournaments and training was something I just couldn't understand no matter how hard I pondered on it. Hell! I was better than the instructors yet and other students too, but my father still wouldn't let me leave the academy. “Mark, you need to remain there,” he'd say in his usual thick baritone voice whenever I rant at him. “You are my eyes in the academy and until I have gained absolute control, you would have to remain there.” The Wolf's academy was the biggest and most revered. SAMIEN'S POV I knew it! I just knew it in my guts. Kade wasn't to be trusted. Not even a single bit. On one hand was the demon I was fighting here in the pit and on the other was Vesperus. What in the world was she doing here at the Wolf's academy! Yes, the Rose hearten had sent them, but why did she have to be a part of the team? Now she wouldn't stop staring at me. I ignored her like a plague, but somehow, my eyes would move in her direction again. “You should be scared, you know!” Kade had said as he took a break. He seemed too relaxed. Too confident. MARK'S POV Something was wrong. I could tell especially from the way colour drained from Robert’s eyes when he saw Vesperus.It was almost like he knew her and was shocked at seeing her there.“Are you alright?” The words slipped through my lips as I stood by his side.“Yes I am. SAMIEN'S POV I began seeing more of Vesperus around the academy, and though I hated this, there's nothing I could do.She went around with a strange aura, her eyes screaming at me. She seemed to know something, one that could cause trouble for me.“That was great!” She said to me on one of her visits, hands clasped to her side.I glared at her, eyes rolling. “Thank you.”Then I turned to leave, colors draining from my eyes. SAMIEN'S POV The cool morning breeze blew against my skin as I rushed forward.Mark stood meters away, his eyes wandering.
