~ Jax ~ The first thing I notice is the silence. It isn’t peaceful, and it definitely doesn't mean things are under control. It feels wrong—heavy and expectant, like something in the dark is waiting to strike. I stand in the middle of the garage, arms folded, watching the guys move around like they know what they’re doing, they don’t. Engines are open, tools are clanking, and orders are being followed, but there’s no rhythm to any of it. There is no centre. That’s the problem. Cole was the centre.
