***~~Delilah~~***He kisses me— deep, intense, slow enough to steal my breath.I kiss him back just as fierce, our lips moving in sync.I can already feel my cunt twitching, my body melting into his.“Sir, what do you want for —,”Susan doesn't finish her words.I know she's frozen. I try to split from Soren, but he won't let me.His shameless ass didn't even break the kiss.I guess he meant it when he said ‘Let them see’“I'm so sorry…” Susan chips in and I hear her footsteps as she scurries off.Soren won't stop kissing me. He holds my chin up, keeping me firmly as he devoured my lips.I could barely catch my breath.Quickly I pull my lips away and he stares at me.“I told you I don't care who's watching, Lilah.”I roll my eyes. “Well, I do.” I blurt out. “Just like I should be home getting Liam ready for school. Where's June?”“Off to school.”“I should go,”“Why”“It's a workday, Soren.”“Call in sick. I'm the boss, I don't mind.”“Seriously?”His only answer is a smirk.“I'm su

***~~Soren~~***I texted Delilah and hour before Knox asked me over for a drink. But I've been left unread.Sometimes I don't know what's running through her mind. One minute she's soft on me, the next minute she's detaching. But I intend to get to know her better. To build trust.Whatever it takes.Someone clears their throat.I look up. Hunter and Knox are both staring at me with their glass in hand.“What's up with you, Soren?” Hunter asks.“Me?”“You've been staring at that phone since you got here,” Knox observed, taking a sip of his drink.Hunter watches me, closely.“Reports from accounting,”That gets Hunter's attention and he smirks.“It's weekend. You don't revise reports on weekends and certainly not in a damn club,”Right.I exhale. “Delilah left all my texts unread,”Hunter groans. “I literally brought her to your doorstep. Don't tell me you fucked that up too,”“I didn't,”“Or maybe you should just leave her alone,” Knox blurt out.I glare at him. “Never,”They both sh

***~~Delilah~~***“What if I tell you I won't?” He breathed out, staring right into my soul. “Will that count for something. My heart slams at it's ribcage. It was hard to force down the emotions starting to eat at me.His hand reach for mine but he stops himself, as if he's not sure he's allowed to touch me.“I'm sorry, Lilah. I really am,” he trails off. “I know you've heard it a thousand times and you probably don't want to hear it anymore but…”“Is this about Liam?” I cut in, stopping him cold.“What..?”I swallow. “Is your sudden interest in me because I had him?”That's when his hand goes over to mine. My eyes linger on the contact and then back to him.“It was never about that.” He blurts out. “I understand you're overwhelmed by everything and need time to process it. I can wait. No matter how long it takes to gain your trust.” His eyes pins me in place. “But I need you to know that’ve always loved you, Lilah. And it was never about having a kid or not,”Heat creep up my ches

***~~Soren~~***My screen lights up and it's Delilah.I reach for it, fast, and with a smile creeping up my face.“You got me a new car?” Her voice is laced thick with disbelief.“You like it?” I mused.“Soren, you honestly didn't have to,” she breathed. “And it's the latest model, must've cost a fortune.”I lean back into my chair and smile. “Well, I can afford it, and I want you to have it,”I can hear her hiding a chuckle.“There's no winning in this case, is that right?”“That's right, baby.”“Don't call me that,” she groans out in that tone that tells me she likes it and trying to pretend not to.I bet she's rolling her eyes hard.“I have a long list of the names I want to call you, wanna hear it?”Her breathing slows. “Definitely not,” she mused. “But hey mister, you gotta slow down, don't want to get used to this,”“You should,” I blurt out. “Because giving is my love language, Lilah. Brace yourself,”“Gifting is your love language?” she repeats with a hoarse voice.I smirk, p

***~~Soren~~***June's brought in.She's on a beautiful ball shiny dress.I watch my baby and my heart simply aches for her.Beside me, Cameron stiffens like someone's just poured ice water down his back. His eyes snaps to me.I know he knows. But I don't acknowledge his gaze.My eyes stays glued to Rebecca.I can see the sheer excitement as everything's going as she planned.Ashley too.I catch her leaning over Rebecca as they whisper something I don't catch.I let them have that one.Let them merry. Let them think it's going good. But when it claps back, they won't be smiling.Of course the crowd erupted. Cheers.Applause.Until…“Does anyone have an objection to this?” Benjamin, the older blonde who's also the emcee asks, his eyes darting across the room.Silence.Everywhere is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. But I can feel it deep in my bone. That one person won't let this go.Rebecca stands. Just like I said she would.A smirk crossed my face but it dies off clean.Julian
