บททั้งหมดของ Her Return, His Regret : บทที่ 111 - บทที่ 120

***~~Delilah~~***Soren walks back to me, like a storm in a black button- down shirt. He is shaking with anger.I could feel his chest pounding fast as I lean into him.The fabric of his shirt is soft, but the muscle underneath is anything but.I just don't know why. But I feel safe with him here.He wipes my face. “It's okay. I'm here now. I'm so sorry,”His voice, words, touch, everything soothes me.I try to blink back my tears but what Nathan did to me is on repeat in my mind.I knew he's a jerk but I never thought he'd go to this extent.Soren keeps apologizing as if it was his fault it happened. After a while he turned to Cameron. “Thank you for what you did. I owe you one.”“I didn't do it for you. I did it for Lilah.” He mused and I could hear a hint of amusement in his tone. “At least you know I have a spine now.”Soren hides a chuckle and nods. “I will have this returned to you in the morning. Again, thank you, Cameron.” he says, pointing to his suit jacket on my arms.Sore

***~~Delilah~~***That's when Logan's eyes drifts to Soren.I see his jaw tick.Eyes blazing fire. Then it shifts back to me. “Why are you with him?”“Logan, stop..”But his face is set in a way that tells me he's not dropping this.“He's just your baby daddy, no?”Before I can respond to him, Soren steps in. “What is it to you?” he seethes, eyes ablaze.Logan furrows his brows and snaps, face tight. “Stay the hell out of this!”I stood there, rooted to the floor, watching everything unfold like a fast-paced nightmare.Soren's face burns with rage. “And if I don't?” he spit out, his voice dripping with venom.Logan doesn't back down, he meets Soren's glare with a defiant one of his own. “You don't want to find out,”This was escalating too fast.I sidestepped Soren, and press myself in-between, a hand to Soren's chest. “Stop, you both stop this!” I snap.Logan's eyes trails to my hand on Soren's chest, his face falls, then they found. “I didn't know about you and Nathan and I certai

***~~Delilah~~***Soren's bleeding out.His head, arms, legs…literally everywhere.I shove myself up beside him, clutching his shirt tightly. “Soren…” I call, jerking him desperately. His eyes are on me, but they're struggling to remain open. Then I see it— the faintest smile, it's tiny but it's there.Around us, the rescue team keeps tearing through the rubble blocking their way to us.Soren's smile starts to fade, his eyes losing focus.Fear slams into me as I grab him harder“No, no. You need to stay awake, Soren!” But he barely reacts. The bleeding won't stop, and I think he's lost a lot of blood. Most of it is on me. I reach for his head, pressing my hand to where the blood is coming from.It makes my hand sticky, but I don't care about the mess. I just want him to be okay.My tears fall fast. They drop on his temple and soak his hair as I stroke it, trying to offer whatever comfort I can.“Stay with me. Stay alive.” I beg, but he's unresponsive, weak.My heart races, my head

***~~Delilah~~***“I can come get you,” Logan says, his voice etched with worry.“No, no.” I cut in quickly. “Uhm– I mean, my cousin will be here soon.” That's not entirely true, but it's that way.Meghan comes in later today after her meetings, but the truth is, I just want to stick around and make sure Soren's fine. There's a brief pause.“Alright. I'll come over to the house then,”I end the call and scroll through the Internet.I'm surprised to see Soren and Bsg building is on all gossip blogs. My brows lifts.Knox happened the press and the reporters. He made sure it didn't get out.No cameras was allowed in the premises. But from the angle these pictures were taken, it shows it's from inside Bsg.A knot forms in my stomach and I read through.‘Serious doom as the most anticipated Bsg building collapses, leaving twenty workers badly injured’‘Soren Lancaster risk his life to save Dahlia Rhodes after a tragic incident’‘Could there be something going on between Soren Lancaster

***~~Delilah~~***My eyes scans the texts that I got off Karen's phone.Soren was right. Not like I doubted him at all.My mom has been in contact with Rebecca. As a matter a fact she asked her back. That's not all. She's been feeding her with information.Like all the times Soren was here. Logan isn't left out too.Even the time Liam was taken to the hospital. Karen had told Rebecca she doubts Liam will survive it.God.My entire body stiffens. She's so determined that she's been constantly updating her about the past week!I can't unsee this. And the worse part is that she's made $5k off of ruining me.The money I'm dead sure she's squandered on gambling and cheap drugs. My jaw ticks, anger bubbling beneath the surface.I hear her footsteps on the stairs and put my phone down.“I was a bit sticky, needed to take a shower real quick, what's for dinner?”My hands are clenched tight against my fork, stabbing at the steak lazily. But my mind is anywhere but on her.“Adelia…?”My head
